Oooo Chobits was one of my first manga as a kid (shhhh)! I've always loved that song but I didn't know where it was from. I'll definitely have to give the anime a watch now.

OK, where can I find these to watch? I like the cute ones best. I've seen Spice Wolf and Fruits Basket.....

The only anime I ever saw before relatively recently was Sailor Moon (which I love, but I need more!)

You can call me Kit! ^_^ (I also answer to Autumn.)

Hmm, let's see... I'm not good with choosing favorites, so I'll just put my recommendations in alphabetical order.

    • Air Gear: decidedly ecchi with a whole lot of fanservice, but at the same time, a very good action anime
    • Chrno Crusade: prepare for some heavy mood whiplash; it starts off as a light-hearted, funny, fanservice-y series, and ends up turning into a very dark, at times outright depressing one
    • Full Metal Panic!: on one hand, a school comedy; on the other, a very serious and down-to-earth (even has a pretty realistic take on mecha warfare, apart from the ~experimental technology~ in the protagonist's mech, which is pretty much magic) war story. A little dissonant at times, but very good.
    • Hellsing Ultimate: a true classic, but VERY gory. (A little explanation: There is the "Hellsing" anime, and the "Hellsing Ultimate" OVA series. The former was made when only the first volume of the manga was out, so after the events of that volume, it took off into a very different, and pretty lackluster direction. Hellsing Ultimate, on the other hand, follows the manga faithfully from beginning to end.)
    • Mushishi: a philosophical, atmospheric, and in tone pretty melancholic series. Unlike most series I mention in this post, it's episodical, that is, each episode is a small, self-contained story. Its stories strongly resemble Japanese folk tales, and capture their unique atmosphere very well. Definitely a must see.
    • Soul Eater: very enjoyable from beginning to end, balancing action and comedy perfectly; the anime's story is very different from the manga's, though.
    • Wolf's Rain: drama with the occasional bit of action and comedy; a personal favorite, and I won't deny that the last few episodes had me in tears.

I recommend this site for streaming. It's completely free without adds. If you sign up you can save things to watch. They also recommend new things to watch. I do have to warn you, It's all in Sub, there is no Dub on it. Sometimes the site does go down for repairs and updates. It's also a blog, so you can talk about what you're watching or something (Haven't really used blog, to much to watch).

    I recommend:

    ~Magica Midoka

    ~Jewelpets

    ~Do Ri Me

~XXX Holic (Not porn, I promise)

    ~Tabusa Chronicals

    ~Ouran Host Club

    ~Peach Girl

    ~Black Butler

~Rozen Maiden (Should be about dolls, not Yaoi)

    ~Darker than Black

    ~Rozario + Vampire

    ~Vampire Knight

    ~Digi Carat

    ~Pani Poni Dash

~Panty and Stocking with Garterbelt (Ranchy, may want to watch it with Daddy's permission)

    ~Moon Phase

I'm a cry baby too, I mean crap even Disney makes me cry. Mufasa's death always gets me.

    But that's not anime.

Fun fact: I've heard that Disney actually took the idea for The Lion King from an existing anime called Kimba the White Lion. I'm not sure how much truth there is behind that but the names are similar between the main characters.

Kimba is way older than Lion king. I could see it being inspiration for the movie

I really want to just read or watch "Spice and Wolf". I know it was on Netflix for a while but I was too busy watching other things. How does the light novel differ?

The anime only has two seasons and that's all. Meanwhile in the light novel it's still going. I think the manga is also still going, but I'm not sure. :3 I wanna read the light novel because I think it also talks about Marriage and stuff. <3
