    I just watched Death Parade after not watching anime for awhile and it was really good! I also watched an anime movie called Colorful (not to be confused with the anime Colorful, two very different things) it was pretty neat.
    I want to watch some more anime because I haven't in so long. I have an anime-planet with a hundred animes on my 'want to watch' category, but I can just never pick D: whenever I end up watching something it's so spur of the moment. i.e. seeing a gif set, investigating what it's from, watching it immediately. Then once it's over I can't decide what to watch until something like that happens again lol. Even though it's happened so often that I have multiple animes listed on my 'want to watch' category i'm sillly @.@

    I like so many different kinds of anime. As long as the story and characters are good, genre makes no difference to me. These are just a few of a long, long list I would recommend.

    FLCL (the best anime I have ever seen, period, but very very trippy.)

    Kaleido Star (great for little girls!)

    One Piece (LONG, but worth it if you love shounen!)

    Baccano! (ask your daddy if it's okay first!)

    Princess Tutu (great for little girls!)

    Shugo Chara! (great for little girls!)

    Clannad (very sad, bring lots of tissues)

    Puella Magi Madoka Magica (even though it's a magical girl show, it's not for little girls. VERY DARK.)

    Usagi Drop (non-sexual DDLG couples will absolutely LOVE this one)

    Love Live! School Idol Project (Cute! Cute! Cuuuuuuuute!)

    Ojamajo Doremi (best magical girl series ever!)

    Definitely check out Sailor Moon if you're new to anime, it's pretty much a staple.
    My favorite mangas;
    Fruits Basket
    bunny drop(middle friendly)
    Black Butler
    SS Sisters
    Indian Summer

    Anime series;
    Sailor Moon( little friendly)
    sailor moon crystal
    Princess jellyfish
    Attack on Titan
    Kill la Kill
    Chobits
    Full Metal Alchemist
    NANA
    Cowboy Bebop

    Movies;
    Anything studio ghibli
    Ghost house (Korean)
    Yobi the five tail fox
    Akira

    Most of the stuff I like isn't for little space. But it is up to you!

    Maybe the wrong thread to suggest this in seeing as everyone suggests tv manga, yet Sir introduced me to a comic which i totally fell in love with, called Nana to Kaoru! The relationship between the characters is so cute and it is actually about SM play :)

    Favorites would take too long to list so I'll try to add a few to the recommendations I have not yet seen listed:

    * Shirobako (An anime about making anime, full of win) ^^

    * Non Non Biyori ( A really cute slice of life )

    * Summer Wars ( A movie littles will probably like )

    * Children Who Chase Lost Voices ( Also as above )

    * Wolf Children ( ditto )

    * Angelic Layer ( very little friendly )

    * Sound of Sky ( Mostly slice of life but not earth based )

    * Kino's Journey ( An odd show but very enjoyable )

    * Beck: Mongolean Chop Squad (which doesn't go as far as the manga but is still very good )

    * Dragon-Half ( Because I'm older and this is still a classic to me )

    Enjoy!

    Crunchyroll requires an account but doesn't require you to purchase a premium membership.

    The free side means you typically have to wait a week for the newest releases but the subs are professionally translated since it's licensed.

    They also have an app that works for most common devices.

    That being said premium is relatively cheep. ;)

    I use otakustreamers. It's completely free, they ask for donations monthly to keep it going. Everything is sub but they have old and new anime and it's updated almost daily.
