Hello everyone!
As it states in my profile, I'm something of a writer.
And now that I have the best little Princess in the whole wide world, I want to write her poems and bedtime stories.
I figured I'd share some of my writings here because, while I haven't been posting much, this community is important to me.
Most of my work is in Finnish, but I do like writing in English as well. Keep in mind the three poems I'm starting out with are not brand new and thus, not very indicative of my current feelings. :p

Hope you enjoy. :)

Thought Collector

Thought Collector, Thought Collector
Did you nick the the thought?
The one I spent so much time upon, the one I myself wrought?
To the little room from which my heart escapes
You tip-toed to me, stealthily, from the land of purple cascades

Thought Collector, Thought Collector
Won't you give it back?
Won't you see my tears and loosen up your sack?
You have in your home jars and jars filled up
I'm but a little boy and they'll hardly fill a cup
But Thought Collector, Thought Collector
I'll trade you all my tiny thoughts

If but for this once you'll untie your knots

Cross to Bear

Jesus fought many battles
Some of them he lost
He kept them hidden in his heart
No matter what the cost

Tattooed and with broken teeth
He sunk into thoughts and the cup
Long ago he'd decided,
"No one will lift me up"

Now Jesus lives no more
But he showed me the ways of error
Sometimes when I'm washing my hands
I see Jesus in the mirror

I Wished for Proserpine

I wished for Proserpine that this child may remain unharmed
This child of Earth, since the beginning been charmed
With the world around her & armed with curiosity and glee
Wished she be saved the wounds inflicted upon you and me

Folly though, will many a voice cry and mock
An elder's wish for one of his own flock
But my will is strong, my mind sharp and clever
So alone will Proserpine not be, ever
