Are There Big Brothers/Sisters in CG/L Community?

To clarify, is there such a thing as say a middle being an older sibling to a little? I just thought this to myself this afternoon and it perked my ears at the thought of it.

If it is a thing, then is it common in the community?

The reason why this idea popped in my head is because I myself would love to baby another little since I've always had that attitude towards children, be they related to me or not. I'm actually the youngest in my family so I never had the chance to be a big sister. Also I noticed I am more extroverted when the person I am talking to acts younger than me. :p

P.S. The question is strictly platonic, there are a lot of good poly couples out there, but I don't want my question to be confused as such. ^_^

I have someone who is more of an adult baby, he calls me big sis cause my little age is 5 ish. I think you can definitely have a little sister or brother, but they don't even have to be "younger" for you to spoil them! I have a sissy that is a little older than me and I spoil her all the time just cause I wuv her!

Absolutely!

Even though I am polyamorous and you don't want to be confused as such, I have a platonic twin sister relationship with someone in the polycule that I am not involved with in any way other than a deep friendship connection. I have always had a big brother, and I've been a big sister in platonic settings. Your friendships and relationships are what you make them!

Ah thank you Miss Jellybean! I'm not 100% sure of what a poly relationship was until looking it up after reading your message. Polycule sounds much like a family, or better put you could form some kind of family with the polycule system. Wonderful. ^_^

Yes, absolutely. I used to have a platonic big sister who was a little/middle (older little age than me) and was a good friend of my Daddy's. She was awesome but unfortunately withdrew from the local scene and therefore also me and Daddy for her own personal reasons. While this was going on, she was not another babygirl of my Daddy's but a close friend of us both - we're not polyamorous but sexually open, she was polyamorous separately. Daddy let her set my daily tasks on a few days, we had little days together just to hang out in little space. Feeling pretty nostalgic and missing her a bit from writing this but people move in and out of engaging with the scene and I'm happier for her to do what's right for her than whining about losing her as a sister.

There are other ways for this to work, I'd like to echo MissJellyBean in recommending you check out the Poly resource post, ultimately any relationship dynamic will be unique based on the individuals involved and communication, openness and honesty are absolutely vital.

I like the idea of it. Unfortunately I've only had bad experiences with people saying this.

Not gonna say don't do it tho! If you can make it work you do it!

I think it's a very sweet and endearing idea. To me I feel like this kind of relationship would be like that really special best friend closeness bond, where you just love them so much and so innocently. It can be sweet and innocent and platonic. Or people can treat it more romantically. There are some Little/Little relationships out there, just like some where the Little is Dom and Daddy/Mommy is Sub. CG/L is what you make of it. :)

Before I knew the term "CG/L" I often was given the role of big brother. I think for us single daddy types, it's a good role to be in. So for me, I can say yes, there do seem to be big brothers and sisters. :)

i havnt had a big sibling or anythn but recently ive been thinkin a lot bout the concept of bigs but not as daddies, as adult big brothers or somethin. i dunno why it appeals to me. i used to always want an older brother but im the oldest so never had one, maybe thats it.

I'd love to be a little sister

I recently have been thinking about how fun it would be to have someone who we could both be little together.

My daddy recently told me he didn't wanna be my daddy no more but we're still a couple so I wouldn't want a daddy. I think having a sibling would mean I wouldn't be so lonely in little space.

I have a platonic big sister that is a little/middle. She is everything I could ask for in a sister, and she takes care of me in a sister fashion with hair messing, tickling, advice, huggles an more. I really enjoy having this kind of relationship in addition to being with Sir because it is a different dynamic and bond. We are really close and I hope that never changes.

I'm a DD, but at the same time, I feel as if I act as a brother figure for a friend. We aren't romantically involved at all, but we hang out a bit, watch movies, sometimes get food, I act as a deterrent for unwanted attention from other men. She will lean on my shoulder on the bus when she's sleepy, or cuddle up next to me. I have no desire for a relationship other than what we have, and she has a Sir, so it's purely platonic.

So yeah, I like to think I'm a brother figure in some ways.

Before I had a little sister, I would have told you what I read about regarding "sister subs" where it usually isn't a completely platonic relationship with the Dom always being shared. However, that isn't how I came to have a little sister and we are completely platonic. We're really close and I would do anything for her just as I would my biological family or my other best friend. We hang out in little space together, support each other, and I look out for her like an older sister should.

I don't consider myself romantically polyamorous; however, I do have a couple of people (my little sister and best friend, specifically) that a romantic partner will just have to accept as fixtures in my life sort of like platonic life partners.
