Activites for Middles

When I think about middlespace and middle activities, I think of school and after school activities. Because of this, I have been trying to think of activities that will create that schoolgirl/schoolboy feeling, without seeming creepy. Here are some examples I have come up with, feel free to add your own.

Academics:

- Go to the local library and pull out some history or science books and take notes. Extra points if you have childish journals, pens, and a backpack.

- Online lectures like TheGreatCoursesPlus (listening to these in the library is extra good).

- Take art, music, and gymnastics/swimming/Dance classes.

- Community colleges offer classes on just about everything, so if you can afford to go back to school that sounds great (still not sure about this one because it could add stress due to assignment deadlines and cost, but if you are a super rich middle go ahead)

After school activites:

- Art, dance, and sports classes are good replacements for after school clubs and sports.

- If you are a bratty middle you could use the library for detention.

- Go to the arcade, mall, park, or bowling alley with any of your friends (especially if they are middle friends). Here you can gossip and listen to music until daddy picks you up!

School Dances/Parties/activity days

- some cities have adult proms you can attend (I would really like some more ideas for school dances, intramurals/reward days, pep rallies, and books fairs)

As a permanent middle without the ability to switch between different "spaces" or states of mind, i love to wear outfits which are similar to an elegant and cute school uniform to work. It really makes things more acceptable for my soul in an adult world.

And i already do many of the things you listed *giggles*

Well being a librarian going to work is kinda going to detention. :-D But being a book nerd at heart going to the library is always fun.

Like the list though.

As a recently discovered middle here. I love clothing from the 90s, the rugrats, Ren n Stimpy, catdog, etc. The shows from the 90s that they rebooted or not, I feel put me in middlespace. My daddy can see it, I just focus so hard on the show and I feel like a child on the floor waiting for their favorite TV show to start.

Why didn't I find this thread earlier! I've been working lately in bringing out and exploring my middle side more. Such helpful lists! Music really helps me also.

Yay, music does it for me too!  And I love to watch tv shows like Charmed, Dawson's Creek, The Vampire Diaries and Buffy the Vampire Slayer.  :D  I tried to watch Riverdale... I forced myself to watch it and it nearly broke me...

Homework is something I really enjoy as a middle.  Right now this is just online learning and some workbooks I got from amazon.  I'll also do research on topics I'm interested in like folklore or dolphins.  I want to do this more with my Daddy one day, get a weekly paper and he'll grade it.  :D

Reading is a big middlespace activity for me.  I read a lot of YA fiction.

Shopping!  I don't go shopping very often but I love it when I'm in the right headspace.  I go more for stationary, skin care and makeup when I'm in middlespace.

Penpals!  :D  Writing letters is so much fun, maybe with a little gift and a recipe, a herbal tea, etc.  Lots of fun!

  • Going to the mall with like $10 and going to stores and being like hum, I will ask Daddy to get that for me later :0).
  • Going to the arcade with a graphic tee on.
  • Being snarky, petulant then apologetic...in that order.
  • Talking on the phone for a stupid amount of hours about nothing.
  • Watching scary movies with Daddy

Well, I don't do scary movies. Even if I did have a daddy I probably wouldn't. I do agree with the TV through and definitely the shopping! That is a huge part of my middle/princess space with a lot of the things you mentioned as well. I also find clothing, band tshirts and such help a lot.

Honestly though, it's hard for me to indulge it not having a daddy. I often feel as though I need the permission, encouragement and participation of another to really help me. I know that's not true but it's how I feel. Like if I had a daddy and he enjoyed me in my middle princess space that would be easier and more fun?

I'm sorry you find it hard not having a Daddy.  Do you think that having other middles in your life would help you with that?  :)  Getting that permission, encouragement and participation from friends can be really helpful.

I don't know if having a Daddy would make it easier... personally, I think it's good to learn how to be comfortable in middlespace alone.  I mean, it's an important part of who you are and allowing yourself to be middle is a part of being kind to yourself and caring for yourself.  :)

Having a Daddy is great but being middle is the greatest!  Hehehe!  :D

@Runa I do agree with you and I am trying and making progress. I came to all of this already much older than most here. There is a great deal to work through and with....it's a process that I know not just I struggle with.

I like going on little adventures and explore. For example, trip to the local waterfall is fun adventure for me, especially since I always get wet and a bit muddy there 😺

There are many others, like swimming pool (the recreational part with various things to play!), splash pad (especially big splashy bucket!). Playgrounds (bigger ones since I'm a big kid). Bicycle rides.

For indoors stuff, I've been discovering various classes recently. For example, this thing is actually a DIY project targeted at around 10+ years olds (it involves gluing and soldering) and I had ton of fun making and playing with it:

And also a bit more for nerdy middles. Learn coding, for kids:

My middlespace is definitely inspired by school and extracurricular activities! I often at school, on my way to school, shopping after school, or on a field trip! My middlespace is also very princess oriented. Some middlespace activities I enjoy:

Hikes with picnics and tea, taking polaroids pictures, practicing my cursive/penmanship, writing notes to friends, packing a lunchbox/bento to take with me, going to the library to study, writing in my journals  going to historical landmarks and pretending I'm on a field trip, making bookmarks, learning a language, learning about etiquette and manners, doing homework assignments(like adulting tasks but I have them in folders in a binder haha).

Love the idea of finding out what inspires a persons middle space.💕  I know what I’m discussing with my gf tonight. 😁

I LOVE field trips and the BEST part is, anything can be a field trip like going out for: donuts, ice cream, pizza, cheeseburgers 🍔

I love playing my Nintendo Switch games and sharing my adventures there too!

Hi there I'm a new little/middle. I prefer books. But everything is going electronics. But to answer your question. About community college do have free classes to take. On campus or online. I loved going to school when I was little. I'm been trying to go back to college but not luck with FAFSA. So I have decided to thing ond of two things. Find a online/homeschool program and attend under my middle name or find a free school app that you don't have to pay for like abc mouse or adventure academy. And see if I can find some middle friend who like school and want to do it with me.
