Traditions.

With the holidays upon us and things coming so quick, I find myself getting things around and trying to keep things as normal as possible due to covid.

One of the biggest things I like to do for Christmas, is watch Christmas movies. It's been my tradition for so long. I have accumulated so many dvds of holiday favorites. So a tradition of mine it to watch atleast one a day until Christmas Eve, and then I spend all day Christmas Eve watching movies back to back. I plan on keeping that tradition strong this year.

Do you guys have any traditions you do for the holiday? Feel free to share. Maybe we all night get a new idea.

Sometime the week before Christmas, my friends and I all try to gather somewhere with a fireplace. I know most houses don't have them anymore, but it is such a wonderful experience sitting by the warm fire and just hanging out. <3

My yearly tradition is to watch It's a Wonderful life in memory of my dad. We always watched old movies together and espescially It's a Wonderful Life.

And of course celebrating Christmas with my family.

We do an advent calendar. We split the days and give 12 little gifts to each other leading up to Xmas.

On Xmas eve we always wear our Xmas pajamas and have a hot chocolate with whipped cream and marshmallows. Oh and always end up watching National Lampoon's... Which I don't like hehe.

I am having my mom dad and sister over at my apartment to decorate for Christmas since we always have fun doing that every year! We also like to do cookie decorating day and then have a day where we make a ton of sweets and Christmas candies! On Christmas we spend the entire day drinking hot chocolate and watching a bunch of Christmas movies! I would have to say that Christmas is really the only holiday where the family gets together multiple times and we can all spend it together.

Another thing we like to do is drive around the neighborhood looking at Christmas lights and we also went to this event called “living windows” and that was a lot of fun! Stores would have performers outside the windows and you could watch them, eat food, drink apple cider, and so much more! Last year my family wasn’t able to make it and this year it got cancelled due to to Covid. But I am hoping next year we can continue going to them!

I am also going to have some ornament decorating added onto this year since we don’t have any ornaments for the tree out and I thought it would be a fun activity! I am excited to have my first Christmas at my apartment!
