I was wondering how many little's carry a comfort bag when you have to go somewhere particularly stressful and maybe a little scary? What are some of the items you put in yours? Or perhaps you just carry a backpack when you go out with your caregiver.

I have a scary Dr appt. Tuesday, and it's a little ways from home. My anxiety has been really high for the last week. I normally carry a comfy bag. My bag is big, pink and furry soft. I normally add coloring books, crayons, my most favorite stuffie (sometimes two), and snacks. My Paci in my Hello Kitty Paci bag. Pens, normal bigger stuffs ( only cause i has too).  But i think i need other ideas too.

Even when we're not going to the Dr, i still carry it but then it's called my "Adventures Bag ".

That's an excellent idea! I know for my anxiety having a fidget toy or some kind of puzzle can help divert my anxiety so that I have something to focus on. Stress balls are really popular and there are more neurodivergent knickknacks and the like nowadays. A playlist to listen to on your phone with earbuds is also good while you have to sit and wait. I have guided meditations and ASMRs set for this. What can also help is to set up something you can look forward to after being so brave at your appt. This can be visiting your favorite sweet shop or for me personally, it's window shopping at a pet store to look at the cute animals.

Yes, I've done this before also. Normally for me it's a drive thru trip to McD's to get an ice cream or Coke. Or a trip to the thrift store to hunt for treasures.  Since my appt is in a bigger town then where I live, I may see if Daddy will take me to the bigger craft store.

One time I had to have a laser treatment done on my eyes. I was so ooooh scared! Daddy took me to Build A Bear and bought me a new stuffies with glasses. I'll take a picture later and shows you! She's so cute!

Note: Sorry for the rambling! I get sidetracked easily! 😂

I take my favorite stuffed unicorn with me everywhere. She's my emotional support stuffie!

I use a convertible crossbody/backpack style purse. In it is always a fidget and a small coloring book along a multi colored ink pen. I also keep a water bottle with some cute, waterproof stickers and a water flavor mio for it.

Hey there! I totally understand how stressful and anxiety-inducing doctor's appointments can be, and I think it's such a great idea to have a comfort bag to bring along for some extra support. Your bag sounds so cute and cozy, and I love the idea of adding coloring books, crayons, and your favorite stuffies. Good luck!

I Hope your appointment goes smoothly and I know how stressful having anxiety can be anytime I have a anxiety or panic attack when I am traveling out of town my daddy gives me my squishy or my fidget spinner   to focus on and play with when we are in public it helps me calm down.

I totally get the idea of having a comfort bag. When I get anxious, especially during long waits (like at appointments), I usually bring a small purse that works as both practical and comforting. I keep a tiny stress ball, a small notebook with some gel pens for doodling, and my favorite lip balm - weirdly, reapplying it helps me focus. Snacks are also a must; gummies are my go-to for quick stress relief. Your pink furry bag sounds adorable, and it’s amazing you’re so prepared.

Speaking of bags, I’ve been eyeing some stylish options from Coach recently . Their collection is quite impressive and might match the cozy-yet-practical vibe you’re going for. You can check it on https://coach-bags.co.uk/

I carry a miny lamb stuffed animal with me and I also have a Build-A-Bear rainbow unicorn with a rainbow tutu that I take in the car with me and her name is Jaden. I put a cotton candy scent in her head so she smells sweet.
