    New house

Having your own place makes it way easier to decorate how you want and set your own routines. I found it super fun setting up my space to feel extra little.
  3. DaddyRaven

    Love using crystals

Love tigers eye. Have a piece in my pocket with other types lol
  4. NickyMoon

    Love using crystals

My favorite has always been Tigers eye. I always have it with me. Right now I have one in my car, one in my purse, and a bracelet.
  5. DaddyRaven

    Love using crystals

love black tourmaline; I think it's an understated crystal that doesn't get as much attention as it should. I have a small tower of it at my work desk and it works great to help with joint pain in the hands
  6. WizardofOSS

    Love using crystals

Wow, good topic. There's so many, but one came right to mind. Call me strange, but I love crystal Black Tourmaline! Not only is it usually black and earthy, solid for grounding and banishment, but it has curved sides!! Wow! It fits in the hand like a rod, and if it's long enough, can easily be used to project too. It can be found in the mountains of Montana and Idaho, or at Gem shows. It's unique!
  7. DaddyRaven

    Love using crystals

I have to admit, when I first fully dived into paganism, i wasn't that drawn to crystals but they have became an important part of my practice and things I sell to my clients to help them with various issues. Does anyone here have a favorite crystal? I have too many to name them all lol but one that holds a special place is in my heart is the trusty amethyst which has so many great uses and is just beautiful

    New house

There's a lot of plants to smudge with, but I wouldn't really use sage unless you're indigenous, similarly for palo santo. There's a million good plants to use to clean a space, or even just sprinkle salt water in all four corners. I like pine, holy basil, and white clover if you want to make a wand to burn.

    What's your Sun-sign? (Western Astrology)

My Sun sign is Capricorn but my Moon Sign, Rising Sign, and like 3 of my houses are in Scorpio and that describes me sooooo much better lol: "Capricorns are known for being ambitious, disciplined, and practical, often driven by a strong work ethic and a desire to achieve long-term goals. They are also characterized by their loyalty and responsibility, but can sometimes be seen as pessimistic, serious, or stubborn" -the loyalty and work ethic are about the only things matching "Scorpio moons have intense, mysterious, and complex emotions, a strong need for emotional security, and deep loyalty to loved ones. They are often insightful, emotionally intelligent, and can be fiercely protective of those they care about, but can also hold grudges or be prone to holding onto things." -very much me, every single word lol

    What's your Sun-sign? (Western Astrology)

My sun sign: Pisces ♓️ (8th house) pisces is empathetic, intuitive, deeply sensitive and spiritual. a sign that feels everything deeply and needs solitude to recharge. ruled by Neptune, planet of dreams, and is symbolised by two fish swimming in opposite directions, representing duality and emotional depth. accurate traits: I absorb moods and atmosphere like water im creative and intuitive I need quiet time to process emotions and refill my energy traits I differ from: im not directionless, once I commit to something that actually matters to me, im all in I don’t idealise people easily, I can see the shadow side I think this is because my Pisces sun lives in the 8th house and is balanced by earth placements (Venus in Capricorn) that gives some structure. I still feel everything, but I’ve learned to contain it. 🌙

    What's your Sun-sign? (Western Astrology)

I’m a Virgo sun and always curious how that lines up with my personality. I’ve used trusted-psychics to explore zodiac sign meanings more deeply, and it added insight into how my traits connect with daily stuff, like relationships and stress. It also helps me learn more about how other signs vibe, which is fun when chatting with friends who are super into astrology too.

My Love For Tarot, A Deck That I Made

I’ve tried a few different decks, but I totally get what you mean about making a personal one—it just feels more connected. I’ve recently been getting deeper into psychic readings too, and having a deck that really speaks to me makes the whole experience feel more real. I love the idea of adding personal symbols and meanings instead of just sticking to what the guidebook says.

Me!!!! Specifically I am a follower of Loki and Freya though (I know that sounds like a random two to follow but it works lol).

I saw witches and got excited. I am norse pagan and got extra excited seeing this. Do I have any other norse pagans in here?

    New house

Personally, I always a Asperge as well as Smudge. I prefer the western wiccan use of using the five elements as guardians of a newly cleansed space. A burning smudge (or incense) stick uses the power of fire and air to cleanse, while a Bowl of salt water (sprinkle with fingertips) uses the power of water and earth. Using all four elements in the cleansing and protection of your house is better IMO than just a smudge stick. Finally, you are the fifth element - Spirit. Say a prayer, invoke the God and Goddess and ask for their blessings and protection. IMO, you need to do what feels right for you.

I definitely always smudge beforehand, and then again after I move back in. Your energy has everything to do with when you smudge, so remember to play music, have an open window for the bad energy to escape from, and be happy in your new place. Congratulations on your move, I hope that your new home brings you many good things. I just moved too, so I understand where you are coming from. 🖤

ahahaha you are so adorable. very very true. I will do it before and after x) Thank you!

    New house

    @BluJinx If you're concerned, do a smudge in the empty space and then another after getting everything moved in and set up. You can never over smundge .... unless you count setting off the smoke alarms. {gigle}

    New house

Just got into a new house. I'm hoping to clean out all the bad energy, both from my past and what may be lingering in this house. is it better to move stuff in, then set up an alter and smudging . Or should I go through the house with sage and set up an alter then move stuff in? I want everything to go well here

    Curiosities

I use a crow tarot deck daily, I love corvids and the art is beautiful. The readings are always on point. I recently found a tiny tarot deck to keep in my bag, and the cards barely take up half my palm. Little me loves have a teeny deck to use with my teeny crystals. Oracle decks are like a hug from a good friend and I use mine when I need an encouraging reading. But imo tarot decks are like a slap from your best friend, and are needed at times too. I use both decks as needed lol. I always have a question or a thought in mind when I use my tarot deck. When I'm giving readings I ask my clients to keep their questions silent in the beginning, but to keep them in mind as I shuffle and pull the cards. With my Oracle, I let the deck lead me to healing. The cards go with a crystalology book and have shadow work prompts to match each card/crystal. I'm not a personal fan of online readings, I much prefer in person. But to each their own.

    Palm reading

I’ve been fascinated with palmistry and tarot lately. I’ve never had a reading of either but I would certainly be curious to have one done and see what it brings about. Has anyone here had their palm read? Was there anything insightful for you?

    Curiosities

Hello! 👋 Newbie here. Nice to meet everyone. Do you have a favorite deck? I do! It's the True Black deck, by Arthur. I got the Kickstarter, back when Tumblr was still big and it made the rounds. I always thought tarot was fun but didn't really believe in anything metaphysical. This deck kind of changed my mind. Pretty sure Arthur is an enchanter or something lol. Because this deck, out of all the ones in my collection, is always extremely precise and coherent in its answers. Like, I don't have to squint for connections between cards, it just flows with an obvious story. There's also cards that I will pull consistently for specific kinds of readings, whereas there's still a few cards I've never pulled for myself, though I've pulled them for other people. And also, the art is absolutely gorgeous and fits with my uncanny divine aesthetic. Do you prefer oracle or tarot? I'm not familiar with oracle, so I'll have to say tarot. Something to look up! Do you always ask questions or do you leave it to generalizations? With my other decks, I'm general, but with True Black, I know I can ask specific questions and get specific and sound feedback. But I try to use it sparingly and never frivolously. Anyone watch generalized readings on YouTube? Nah lol. I think they need to be personal. But I get why people do.

    Curiosities

I'm not mentally handicapped in what society normally thinks of. My cognitive slowness is more of a processing issue caused by my chronic anemia, which is caused by my scoliosis. So, while I work hard at only coming across as air-headed in social settings... let me tell you, beginners tarot cards really do make that much of a difference for me. I can try and learn something all day long, but even once I've learned something, the goldfish memory occasionally kicks in. It's very frustrating, but it makes me that much more grateful for the distinct pictures and booklets. And despite my issues, I do enjoy a good reading! I don't use the deck that way. I'm not really concerned about what the universe thinks. I use the deck to reach my subconscious while I'm awake. It's a tool I use to search through my own aura. The universe can't really help me, if I don't know what I want. And being in an awakened state, hinders a person's true inner awareness, imho. But of course, to each their own. And my second favorite deck is Disney Villain themed. I use what I like without shame, but I identify as a grumpy old man... so that's probably why, lol.

    Curiosities

I think that is awesome!! I have encountered learning-focused decks before and they do make the interpretations easier. I have also found that the best Tarot Decks will rely on images and pictures to show you the meaning. In fact, the very first Tarot Deck used for divination (Tarot de Marseilles 1700's) had simple pictures an illiterate public could use. It became complicated as self-appointed gurus tried to create more mystery from them with complicated explanations. The basics are the best! For interpretations, go with what you see and feel. Tarot is an Art, and everyone interprets them differently, like a story. Just tell it like you see it and let the cards guide the next part of it. Have fun and enjoy it. I have also heard about the 'gift-giving' tarot rumor. It sounds nice, like waiting for the Universe to speak to you, but there's no truth in it. If a Tarot Deck calls to you - That is the Universe speaking! Just pick up the phone and answer the call.
  25. This Friday evening, look to the South of due West just at sunset (No more than 1 hour after sunset!!), and you'll see the grand planetary alignment of planets - Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus & Neptune (Use a Telescope for the last 2). I was wondering what this means astrologically? So here's some good information from https://astrostyle.com/2025-planetary-alignment-planet-parade-astrology/. Here goes.... MERCURY Planet No. 1 in the planetary alignment Mercury is the the messenger planet, directing the ways we think, communicate and share information. Mercury enters Pisces on Valentine’s Day 2025 (where it stays until March 3). In this sign, Mercury cranks the volume on your intuition, and you could download all sorts of divine inspiration. Your subconscious will be buzzing, especially after dark, during this transit. Make time for candlelight meditations, sound baths and any activities that relax your mind so you can receive messages and insight. Mercury is of course well known for Mercury retrograde. But don’t worry, the first Mercury retrograde of 2025 doesn’t begin until March 15! Don’t rush to share them all though! Mercury in Pisces can drive up ambiguity. VENUS Planet No. 2 in the planetary alignment Venus is the planet of love, beauty and harmony. This planet sets the stage for romance and indulges in Cupid’s offerings liberally. Vixen Venus vaulted into Aries on February 4, igniting a passionate pre-spring awakening. During the free-flowing Venus in Aries transit, it might feel more like “uncuffing season,” which could make relationships feel too close for comfort. Impulse control may be scarce, but as a rule, zip and unzip judiciously. Rash behaviors and decisions can come back to haunt you. A little impulse control will go a long way because love is lit during this longer-than-usual cycle…because it comes with a loophole: Venus retrograde. This six-week backspin begins (in Aries) on March 1, and could tamp down some of the bold, impulsive energy that’s signature for this sign’s hosting of the love planet. MARS Planet No. 3 in the planetary alignment Mars governs passion and sex drive. With its blood red color and raging dust storms, it is little wonder that Mars is also the planet associated with anger and combat. Mars began 2025 retrograde in Leo, where it started chilling out on December 6. It moved (still retrograde) into Cancer on January 6. The Mars retrograde in Cancer will make life frustrating until February 23. On that day the small-but-mighty planet moves forward (direct, as we astrologers say) and the frenetic energy should subside. For the final stretch of winter, set up the craft table and mix up some craft cocktails, as you get into the spirit of cold-weather communing. Vanquish the tension under your roof by decluttering, redecorating and making sure everyone has enough space to do their thing. The red planet’s motivational influence may inspire a home-based business or a pre-spring fitness challenge with roommates and relatives. If cabin fever has fanned the flames of conflict, here’s your cue to escape to the slopes for a weekend, or maybe the beach! JUPITER Planet No. 4 in the planetary alignment Jupiter is the big daddy of the solar system. In astrology, Jupiter inspires us to grow, expand and take risks. Jupiter ended a five-month retrograde in Gemini on February 4! The Jupiter Gemini transit began in May 2024 and lasts until June 9, 2025. While Jupiter is in fast-talking Gemini, ideas and intellect become reigning cosmic currency. Now that the Jupiter retrograde is over, don’t be shy about striking up conversations! Tag-team efforts are blessed with the mighty planet’s powers. This is your cosmic cue to think big and assert yourself boldly (well, once you have all the facts). Jupiter in Gemini can amplify your voice and help you reach a global crowd. Jupiter moves into Cancer on June 9, 2025. It will be big-hearted, philosophical Jupiter’s first sail on nurturing Cancer’s emotion ocean since 2014! As the red-spotted planet sounds a global call for empathy, expect kindness and compassion to be en vogue again. SATURN Planet No. 5 in the planetary alignment Saturn is the karma police, the whistle-blowing taskmaster of the skies. In astrology, Saturn governs time and the wisdom and expertise that comes from slow, steady and structured growth. Saturn spends three years in a zodiac sign and has been melting reality in Pisces since 2023. Saturn in Pisces. Stoic Saturn won’t fall back into a ditch (retrograde) until July 13, 2025. While Saturn is direct and the mature planet is humming along in sensitive Pisces, it’s opened a powerful window for you to explore your faith and heal from past triggers and traumas. It’s heavy stuff, but think of it this way: when your world is in order, it’s a whole lot easier to navigate the external world. That’s the beauty of the Saturn in Pisces transit (which lasts until February 2026). URANUS Planet No. 6 in the planetary alignment Uranus is the eureka! planet. It governs the zodiac sign Aquarius, under which Thomas Edison, inventor of the light bulb, was born. In astrology, radical and metaphysical Uranus is the planet that rules our higher minds. Uranus retrograde ended on January 30, in sensible Taurus. Uranus is in direct motion until September 6, 2025, giving us full access to its innovative, electrifying, future-forward energy. Uranus takes 84 years to cycle through the entire zodiac, hanging out in each sign’s “airspace” for approximately seven years. Whichever sign Uranus is orbiting through gives the planet its focus. Here is where we see innovation, chaos and massive societal changes. The Uranus in Taurus cycle began in 2018 and officially wraps on April 25, 2025. This year, we get a sneak peek of the 2026–2033 Uranus in Gemini transit, when the side-spinning planet slips into the air sign from July 7 to November 7! NEPTUNE Planet No. 7 in the planetary alignment Neptune is brrrrrr! Icy Neptune is the last of the gas giants in our solar system. In astrology, Neptune rules all that lies below the surface—and the watery flow of creativity. Neptune brings each sign periods of heightened imagination, creativity and intuition. Its lengthy 14-year stays in each sign allow you to plan for spiritual and creative growth and to draw from the deep well of your psyche. The current Neptune transit, Neptune in Pisces, began in 2011 and wraps up in 2026! Neptune crawled out of a lengthy retrograde at the end of 2024 and is direct in Pisces until its next retrograde, from July 4 to October 22, 2025. But here’s where things get interesting! Neptune will split its time between two signs—Aries and Pisces this year! For the first time since 1862 to 1875, the celestial soothsayer swings into the Ram’s realm. While this only lasts from March 30 to October 22, 2025, a longer, 13-year cycle of Neptune in Aries picks up again in January 2026 until March 2039!
