amicitia Posted July 1, 2017 Report Posted July 1, 2017 i don't know if you're still looking for help since it's been a couple hours, but if you are:you can put your stuffie in the freezer until the gum in his fur is solid and then you cangently comb it out without having to worry about hurting him! if he's too big to put inthe freezer, then you can hold ice (in a baggie) against the areas where gum is stuck untilit's frozen over before combing him instead.i'm super possessive over the one teddy that i have so i usually keep him out of reachwhen younger family members are visiting——but i've helped a couple get gum outof their doll's hair &&. other toys that way.his fur may be a little damp afterwards but give him a little time to dry off and lots oflove afterwards and he'll be as good as new!! 3
Guest Scottist Posted July 1, 2017 Report Posted July 1, 2017 As said previously, you can freeze it and putt it off gently, little by little. You can also try rubbing an ice cube on it which can help. This other method is a little weird, but it surprisingly works. This would require you to use peanut butter. You can put some peanut butter on the spots where the gum is stuck in the fur. Massage the peanut butter into the fur of the hair so that the peanut butter begins breaking down the gum. The gum will resemble small balls when it starts breaking down. Then, gently comb the hair with a comb, and begin picking out the beads of gum. Then, wash the bear using the washing instructions on the tag. Happy to help, hope your stuffy is okay! 2
