Need some advice

Recommended Posts

So my girlfriend and I were recently discussing maybe entering into a ddlg relationship. I'm onboard fully as I already care for her in that way anyway.

Where i need advice is she doesn't want any rules, and wants to basically just be a relationship where she can at times call me daddy.

I'm at loss with no idea what to do. To be honest I'm not even excites about that why not just stay how we are lol.

That's not a ddlg relationship. Up to you if that's what you want. If not, tell her.

Focus on the relationship not on the label.  Basically you want to make changes to your relationship that she doesn't want.

Whether or not you call it ddlg (or anyone else would) is secondary, there's not a universal standard you need to achieve.

I don't think what she wants is a ddlg relationship and more just one where the daddy title doesn't have the connotations it has within ddlg. Maybe talk to her about what it means to you and whether she is a little because otherwise it wouldn't be good to start making changes when you both want different things!

I think it's a rather big adjustment for a relationship that is already going on. If you introduce a new set of rules it can feel suddenly unnatural and strange. At least that's how I feel. I didn't want a new set of rules either because we are both quite new to this, so I guess we explore first what feels right for us and what doesn't and go from there. I personally don't care much about labels, but it's a fact, that this journey has deepened our relationship to a whole new level, it's a gift that after 7 years together we can rediscover each other. Try things, push some limits and see what feels right for both of you. Don't just give up on a formality.
