I received a couple of annoying comments in facebook today that bothered me a lot.

 

"You are a little out of the mold"

 

"Why?"

 

"Because the littles get carried away, they are submissive and you talk a lot and you like to learn and you have an opinion and that's weird"

 

 

 

I mean WHAT ?! Being little / submissive does not mean that one is silly and has to say yes to everything, and can not have an initiative of their own to learn things like bondage, and it definitely DOESN'T MEAN THAT WE DON'T HAVE AN OPINION.

Well the best with that kind is to just ignore them. They do not understand what a bdsm/ddlg dynamic is about and what being a sub/dom means, so they just assume based on the poor sources. People like that will never be ''educated'' ... If they wanted to learn they wouldn't be saying such ignorant crap in the first place. People seem to think that just beccause u are a sub/dom that it's all there is to your personality, and it irks me as well, but eh, i just let it be and don't bother. If someone asks me about the dynamic I'm always more than happy to tell them and explain , but if they say dumb stuff like that i simply don't bother with them.

There is a very big difference between someone that considers themselves a Dom, and someone who actually understands what it is to be one, lol.

The world is full of people who know nothing but think they know everything. Ignore.

It doesn't matter what anyone else thinks, it only matters what is true.

A Dom didn't tell you that. Someone claiming to be a dom told you that. He probably brought it up just as a way to compliment you but expossed his ignorance in the matter. There's a lot of people like that.  Just ignore them .

Many littles are either in college or have a college degree. Many littles have their own companies. Many littles are feminists. Many littles are very opinionated. The point is, just because we are little, it doesn't make us stupid or naive. I'm sorry that some wanna be dom said this to you. He may have meant it as a compliment, but it's obvious he has a mental stereotype about littles and he is very wrong.

There is a huge difference between a Dom and a Daddy.  The dynamic is very very different and many experienced and good Doms have a hard time with aspects of a Daddy Dom.

 

I can understand what he was trying to say but his ignorance got the better of him or as others have suggested he simply is not a true Dom (wanting to be one, does not make it so)

 

I think really people need to develop a thicker skin as I see so many becoming more and more susceptible to what other might think or do or say when really what we are is all about ourselves….that is where your happiness begins, don’t concern yourself with comments made in passing…you know your truth and you know when it applied to you.

 

 

Maybe one day, he will find his truth as well.

Men like him make me laugh.And people in general that share his opinion.

That`s the reason he likes his women without opinion.Because if people would be honest with him, he should really re-evaluate a lot of stuff or be depressed.

Go be you girl, i am highly opinionated and my mouth has caused troubles and fires. And the only things i regret is the times i didnt say more things to those who deserved to listen.  

I am proud of you if you trully have an opinion regardless of you being a little. and i support your right to have it and openly share it. 

And if some kind of "dom" doesnt like it, then give him my card, he could use some sessions

One can read between the lines of a person, but if one cant read between the lines of his/her own lines  the person is blind to see  in more then one way.

 

So dont stare yourself blind on the shortcommings of another ones opinion.

I almost never have an opinion on things that don't interest me, but 'liking to learn'? EVERYONE likes to learn on some level or another. Learning about a place, a language, a sport, or even a new game. Academics isn't just the place for learning, it's in every part of our day to day lives. THAT person is an idiot.
