I'm a senior in high school and a little I have been slipping in seclusion for 2 years my girlfriend had no clue until today when I told her during our free hour. She flipped and yelled at me. We have been dating for almost 3 and a half years. I slipped and need to get to class but can't though it is only the beginning of the headspace it is still about 4 years old and can't come out. How do i confront her and come out of headspace

If your girlfriend is uncomfortable with who you are, and your headspace, you can't force her to be ok with it. 

 

Talk to her like two mature adults in a serious relationship. Make your feelings CRYSTAL CLEAR. Come to a compromise, and if you can't you have a decision to make. you can either accept that your headspace won't be encouraged or really accepted by your partner, or you can leave. 

 

Be brave, and stand firm. Things will work out in the end.

I'm so sorry to hear this has happened to you. I can't imagine how you must feel.

 

Maybe you could talk to your girlfriend about it and see what has made her react the way she did? It could just be that she doesn't fully understand, so she's panicked in a way, and lashed out at you.

 

I think the main thing that will help is that you talk to one another about how you feel, and make sure she understands that you're a little. Humans tend to freak about things that we don't understand because it's the fear of the unknown, so we revert to our fight or flight responses. In your case, it sounds like she got scared, or angry, or hurt and lashed out at you. 

 

Hopefully you two can discuss it properly and maybe she'll accept that you're a little because she understands more about it. If not, maybe you can come to a sort of compromise.

 

If it has really taken it's toll on your relationship, you might not work out together.
