Things get better

So its been a long time since I have posted on here, i've been busy and things have been a little crazy. Lots of good stuff has happened and there have been some ups and downs

Even through all the emotions and rough times however, keep your head clear. Take a step back and breath. I have been put through the ringer at times. I love my princess to death and would give the world to her. Yes there are times that she upsets me, yes there are times I get frustrated, but I haven't once lashed out at her or anything because I knew that things would get better.

This past week has been pretty rough. It was an emotional rollercoaster for my princess but even with her brattiness and the highs and lows of her emotions I kept cool and tended to what she needed.

Last night and today I think were the best days for her in a while. She wanted a bath so I gave her a bath and today while she was at work I brought her food. These little things can mean so much and I have learned since being with her that the little things can be so much more than some big things that you could do.

If you are going through a rough time just take a step back and breath and think for a moment. Do something little for your little. Draw a picture for them, take a stroll through the park, bath time, play time, movie night with their favorite stuffie and juice. What ever it is, nothing is too small of a gesture. These small gestures can mean the world.

My princess smiled at me today before I left and said thank you for dealing with my emotions and stuff this past week and thanked me for being so great. I didn't realize until she said that at how much the little gestures really meant.

Things wont be ok for me.

How do you know? Surprises happen all the time.

...or do you not want things to get better for you? because maybe you believe you don't deserve it? Whoever put that idea in your head was wrong.

I believe things can get better for everyone. Yes there will be times where it will look like it won't but keep your head up and stay strong and push through and with a little bit of determination and maybe a little luck i'm sure things can get better.

Attitude and having a support network aren't some form of a magical cure all for rough times but they certainly play a crucial role.

Two people could be in remarkably similar circumstances, no two will ever be identical, and how the person interprets those circumstances can be dramatically different. One might see losing a job as the worst thing possible and the other may see it as a new exciting opportunity.

People can't always control the stress, physical reactions, etc., of a situation but we certainly do have a degree of control over how much we let that stress or those tough times affect or define us as a person. Choosing to have a positive outlook, even if you don't believe it 100% yourself, can help mitigate tough times.

Choosing to believe something won't ever get better, and since nobody can see the future we can never say it won't get better, is a choice that just makes situations harder than perhaps they need to be.

A friend once told me, stop living in the past and the future because all you do is miss out on today. It was good advice and I use it every day because we never know what tomorrow brings but if we've already made up our mind it will be bad it certainly is more likely we will interpret it as bad instead of looking for the positive elements, even if they may be small.

I totally get where you're coming from. I've been put through the wringer myself lately. My little that i had been talking to for about two months and had very strong feelings for just ghosted me about 2 weeks ago, no message, no response, nothing. And in a way, i guess I'm still dealing with it. But like you said, always send to the little things, especially when they need it the most.
