RainDoeSprinkles Posted July 20, 2020 Report Posted July 20, 2020 (edited) Hello friends! I never thought I would want to try diapers, but I am considering it now because I love all day hikes and long road trips, but I need to stay hydrated and it would be nice to not have to make so many stops along the way. (and there are so many cute ones for littles!) SO my questions are: Have you ever worn diapers on a long road trip or an all day hike? How was it? What advice would you give? What diapers would you reccommend for an all day hike or road trip? Has wearing diapers affected your bladder control in any way? Can you get a rash or other problem by wearing a diaper all day? How often do you recommend changing it? No need to answer every question. I'd just appreciate any helpful feedback you can give! Thanks for your help! Hugs and love to all! LittleZiggy Posted July 21, 2020 Report Posted July 21, 2020 I've wore diapers before for all day and night. It made bottom sore. My doctor said I shouldn't do it because it's not right if I don't need it. I want to ware it all the time though.
RainDoeSprinkles Posted July 21, 2020 Author Report Posted July 21, 2020 Thank you for your response Little Ziggy! That makes sense. I appreciate your feedback!
Little kaiya Posted July 21, 2020 Report Posted July 21, 2020 (edited) My Daddy does keep me in diapers are part of the rules of our relationship. Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays. He would prefer I wear them 24/7 but when we tried it we found out it didn't really work for me and my life. Have I worn them for a long trip or vacation, yep, of course. It wasn't really anything special as it is just a common part of our relationship and day to day things. He does change me which is always a very tender and intimate thing. For any kind of extended wearing proper cream and powder is really important to avoid heat rash or diaper rash. It is also important to have proper fitting clothing so the diaper doesn't get pinched or torn and it helps manage noise as well. Changing for us is decided by Daddy. He tends to check me fairly often as he knows I don't like the feeling of a wet diaper. Has it affected my bladder control, not at all and for most people it generally doesn't. There's lots of different elements to discuss. Feel free to send us a message if you'd like. Edited July 21, 2020 by Little kaiya 1
MissPattch Posted July 21, 2020 Report Posted July 21, 2020 I don't have any experience with diapers, but having been a carer for the elderly, who often wear incontinence products, i can tell you that a good barrier cream is essential. also making sure the skin is completely clean and dry before you put said cream on. 1
RainDoeSprinkles Posted July 22, 2020 Author Report Posted July 22, 2020 Thanks so much you guys! I appreciate having a safe place to ask about these kinds of things!
Little kaiya Posted July 22, 2020 Report Posted July 22, 2020 Daddy and I were going through my different diapers tonight, have to order more soon, and for hiking you probably want something thinner a d a bit lighter so Crinklz would probably be our recommendation. They are functional but not quite so bulky as a lot of the other AB/printed diaper options. 1
RainDoeSprinkles Posted September 7, 2020 Author Report Posted September 7, 2020 Hey you two, thank you for the advice! I've actually been looking for a better cream/lotion (or set of them) to use--what would you recommend to upgrade from, like, generic baby lotion? Preferably something that can be bought at a drugstore/grocery, I try not to have Amazon know about my little/diaper-related purchases. I really like Burts Bees diaper ointment. It has zinc oxide which is very protective and healing. Zarbees Naturals Daily Bottom Balm is also wonderful; it is thick like petroleum jelly, but with much better ingredients.
