Xlovedollxx Posted September 12, 2020 Report Posted September 12, 2020 Hello all! I just wanted to start a thread of littles who struggle with insomnia or can't sleep. I've been having such a hard time recently and the usual bedtime story method isn't doing it for me anymore. Could any of you give some advice on what helps you? xoxo

LeanBlaster Posted September 14, 2020 Report Posted September 14, 2020 I would usually put a song and sing it to them(sleepytime junction was a favorite and animal crossing new leaf songs), or just put it on the background and talk softly with them till they were tired and fell asleep
LeanBlaster Posted September 14, 2020 Report Posted September 14, 2020 in case you are sleeping alone i would recommend having something warm with a stuffie and cuddle both so it feels like you are falling asleep cuddling your partner!
Guest Dandy Blob Posted September 14, 2020 Report Posted September 14, 2020 For me I have pretty much never slept more than 3 hours in a night until I started taking CBD with THC in it (in Canada, have a prescription for it). It helps my body & brain chill out and with it I actually fall asleep & stay asleep almost all night. Also mindfulness for those tough nights if your brain just won't stop. Calm has some great ones if you can afford it. As for other things! I have a stuffie I always cuddle at night, and a body pillow I sometimes cuddle too (even if bf is in bed with me lol). Cuddling something to my chest helps relax me. Having the bedroom be a tiny bit cooler than the rest of the house. Little notepad & pen by bed to write down any annoying thoughts while you are trying to sleep. Cozy pajamas or bedding, maybe even some kind of essential oil or spray on your pillow to calm you down (don't personally do this but I know others do). Listen to sounds or music that soothe you. Recordings of rain or light thunderstorms chill me out so good.
