Queen Elizabeth II, rest in peace

I am sure most of us have heard the sad news of the Queen's passing.

Though I am from the U.S. I feel it is only fitting that we have a place for everyone that wants to, to say a word or leave a tribute to a woman that meant the world to a lot of people. Our hearts go out to her family and everyone that cared for her. She was a strong leader and a beautiful person that I know will be missed dearly.

Feel free to say your goodbyes or leave a favorite pic or story or just some virtual flowers.

Saw this today. Author unknown.

Queen Elizabeth II

Phillip came to me today,
and said it was time to go.
I looked at him and smiled,
as i whispered that "I know"

I then turned and looked behind me,
and seen I was asleep.
All my Family were around me,
and I could hear them weep.

I gently touched each shoulder,
with Phillip by my side.
Then I turned away and walked,
with My Angel guide.

Phillip held my hand,
as he led the way,
to a world where Kings and Queens,
are Monarch's every day.

I was given a crown to wear
or a Halo known by some.
The difference is up here,
they are worn by everyone.

I felt a sense of peace,
my reign had seen its end.
70 years I had served my Country,
as the people's friend.

Thank you for the years,
for all your time and love.
Now I am one of two again,
in our Palace up above.

Rest in peace and thank you 🙏

Rest in peace ma'am, I'm happy you're reunited with Philip.

Thank you for serving us

yes , very impressive . particularly the speech , think she was in s.a. at the time , when she pledges a life of service . you can almost see the majesty descending upon her .

also of course , seen from here , the speech on the radio to french women (in french) at the very dark time of the war .

Her Majesty was alive and more influential on my life than either of my own grandmothers

RIP our great Queen

I watched the funeral at work and I've gotta say I was nearly in tears
