flutterby Posted January 14, 2023 Report Posted January 14, 2023 Hi friends 👋, So its been about a week and a half since my daddy bought me my newest stuffie... slash toy. We were on a quest in targe to find me something that I could play with that would be easy for me to hide. I was feeling nervous and told him I wasn't sure if I was ready. Well while I was distracted he took me down the baby section straight for the toys. Discovery number 1. apparently little side is triggered by more babyish toys. Which lead to discovery number 2. in the form of Mr. Jingles who is a multisensory toy..... I slipped so fast that I panicked thinking someone would notice while we were in the store. My daddy just smirked and chuckled and continued to just encourage it by playing with all the different sounds and textures my now friend has. So now I'm going back and forth between loving my new friend and then being scared about enjoying finally slipping so easy. 1
LoverEcho Posted January 14, 2023 Report Posted January 14, 2023 Feeling scared is only natural as little space is such a vulnerable thing. Easy triggers of it can be alarming as it creates a subconscious worry about going into little space at not the best times. It will likely take some time for you to adjust to this feeling, but you can get there. Don’t be too harsh on yourself, take things slow and if you get overwhelmed you could put the toy away for awhile or have your Daddy put it up. It seems he is quite supportive of your little space, which is great so don’t feel timid to express your concerns to him so you can work towards accepting your new feelings and become more comfortable. 1
flutterby Posted January 14, 2023 Author Report Posted January 14, 2023 Thanks, I think starting to be honest about those feelings is a good idea and knowing I don't need to jump in helps. I just get so embarrassed about how much better I feel with these new discoveries.
