Our big competition was at WVU. Freshman year we did bohemian Rhapsody, sophomore year it was show tunes like singing in the rain, junior year, we did beauty and the beast, and senior year we did, god the name of the composer is slipping my mind right now, but that was the year. I had a Piccolo solo, until they decided it wasn’t loud enough! lol I can still hear the beginning of the tune in my head, but I’m like I can’t think of where it was from crap! Don’t get old 🤣🤣

We did a separate field show and street performance... freshman only joined the street band and we march in wooden shoes (reminder if our Dutch heritage)... sophomore year's show is no longer appropriate... Junior year I don’t remember..

 Senior was patriotic... Stars and Stripes solo midfield...while marching backward and left past the frumpets.... 2 piccolo! I played piccolo all 4 years... and flute in concert band and both in full orchestra/musicals and contests.... we had multiple concert bands too... one year we had 4 piccolo... 

Wish it wasn't so late ir I'd get my flute out and play!
