I'm now reading Wind and Truth on my kindle by Brandon Sanderson. It was just released a couple weeks ago. Might be a decade for the next book to be published 😄

Sometimes we just need to find the right book, and sometimes we just need to let our inner dragon add to our hoard. 😉

Slumps are difficult. I hope you find what you need to pull out of it. I, too, have been in a slump and have started 4 new crafts in an attempt to help. And they have helped, but now I have crafts everywhere!!! {giggle}

I've been steering clear of the heavier reads for a while. Too much going on in my life and health and they were dragging me lower. Yeaterday, I pulled up a series from my TBR that I thought wouldn't be TOO emotionally heavy or angsty. 1.5 books in and I've learned I was very, very wrong. It didn't help that I was already having a challenging day due to health issues. And a book has to hit some very major triggers for me to stop mid-read, so of course I'm pushing through to the end of book 2. I doubt I will be finishing the series anytime soon though, and I'll be going back through my comfort re-reads as I recover from this emotional crash. The series is good so far, just too emotionally heavy for my well-being right now. Anyways. I just needed to whine for a moment as I really wanted to read this series but now I'm not sure when or even if I will finish it. And I figured if anyone would understand it would be this group. I don't have anyone else to talk about book related things with.

I just finished a book I've had in my TBR list for ages. I kept passing it over and now I'm regretting that decision. It was such a good read! I laughed so hard over the shenanigans through the entire book, and the spice level was 🥵🥵🥵. Can't wait to see if the rest of the series meets the expectations the first book set.

This is my first time reading her works. I'll have to look into her other series once I finish this one.

@PigtailPrincess

{question for club read recs}

Do you want single title recs only, or are series okay? (Not that I expect us to read whole series in our club reads. More thinking along the lines of reading the first book, and then if anyone wants to continue the series on their own they could, or the club could vote to continue the series together.)

Ok so I try to keep it so it isnt like a heavily connected, cliff hanger, absolutely MU7ST read the rest of them. But if thwy are a somewhat connected or can easelily stop at 1 then its a ok! But honestly if you really want to includ one heavily series focused I am ok with it. M

Mainly I just wanted to pick something you cpuld read for sure next time. You are very active as a member and it will br good for us to alternate anyways.

@PigtailPrincess

Also, how would you like me to deliver this list? Should I drop it in a new topic in the book club or do you want to send me a private message I can reply to?

You can send me a DM please! They should be open as I am staff and this way it will still be s suprise for other folks. In the future I will make it a suprise for you too since you won't always be choosing. I just wanted to be 100% sure ypu could read one and I didn't wanna risk it because cozy and comfy isnt my genre 🤣 pretty much everything I read makes me cry.
