How to find friends?

Hey, my name is Amy and I have no friends....Have anyone ideas how to find friends? My problem is that I am very shy and I often don't know what I talk with other people...It doesn't matter if its in real life or online....I am also very clingy, if I have a friend so that have the effect the people are distance to me, but I learn how to give them space....If you know me and I feel safe by you, than I am funny and I could talk very much, what came across my mind. So have anyone any tips for me? I don't search for Little friends or a Mommy in real life, just one person who I can write if I am boring or someone who does things with me like go in the cinema or go out....Or at least here a friend who chat sometimes with me....sorry if I am annoying yeah

Definitely try reaching out and participate in our forums! You'll come across some interesting people here and our community strives to be a safer space.

And of course, you can always post an ad in our friends zone forum:

Thank you for your answer....Yes this I will try and you are all so nice thank you so much....I try to post or answer and maybe I am successful....but I am successful right now cause all people I met here are sooo nice and helpful...

Trying is all anyone can do. Just keep in mind that our community is a bit slower paced. So don't get too discouraged if you're not always answered right away... or at all. That's just how it is here and doesn't mean you've done something wrong.

There's a friends section where you can post a personal for friends. We're all pretty nice here.

Hi Amy!

I stuggle with this quite a lot myself, but i think the best advice for us shy/introverted types really is that you just have to put yourself out there. I know it's difficult, but after you take those first few steps it becomes easier, trust me!<3 Cause sitting around and waiting for people to come to talk to you isn't always, and i say this as someone who has been the one waiting for people to reach out. 

Where to find friends is also up to you and what your comfortable with. It can be Social media, forums, irl hobby groups, etc... Finding people with common interests makes it easier to have the courage to reach out to people! So the fact that your here on this forum is already a great first step! Making a post here on the Friends section is also a good idea, but i would suggest looking through other peoples posts on the friend section and reach out to people who match what you're looking for! ^^ 

I know it can feel hopeless and difficult when your shy and it's hard to reach out, but have courage! Putting yourself out there will eventually pay off, because it certainly has for me! Good luck out there! ^w^
