Advice for uploading photos that are too big.

I have a lot of photos I want to upload but all of them have to be converted to links to send here. Am I doing something wrong, is there a different way to upload bigger photos? If not does anyone have advice about how to reduce the resolution of my photos and how to take lower resolution photos. Also I'm entirely willing to pay a fee if needed to upgrade my ability to post photos.

The forums have a limitation on file size for you to be able to upload them here. This is due to the limited storage (hard drive size) available for the server. If we all uploaded 20MB files, the storage would soon be full and page loading times would also be affected.

There are numerous ways to reduce file size such as using photoshop or other imaging software, but there are also online image resizers too.

I like to upload my photos into the “Gallery” first then if you press “Other Media” and then “insert existing attachment” you can add photos to posts that way  I’ve not come across file size issues since doing it that way
