I want to take a moment to talk about something that’s been bothering me, and I think it’s something we all need to hear—whether you’re a Daddy, a Mommy, a Little, or somewhere in between.

This is DDLG.
This is not FinDom.

Over the past little while, I’ve heard of people requesting money just for attention or time in a dynamic. Let me be blunt: That’s not okay.

DDLG is about trust, emotional connection, and mutual care. It’s a space where hearts matter more than wallets. When someone starts asking for $10 or $15 just to interact, that’s not a dynamic—that’s a transaction. And it’s a shady one at that.

Now don’t get me wrong—there is a place for FinDom. It has its own rules, expectations, and community. But DDLG? That’s not where we mix love and manipulation. In this space, your feelings are valuable, not your finances.

Your self-worth is not tied to how much you can give someone. It’s tied to how you treat others, how you grow in your role, how you show up with authenticity, and how much trust and love you’re willing to build. That’s the currency we trade in here.

If someone’s putting a price on their affection, attention, or submission/dominance—walk away. You deserve real connection, not conditional companionship.

There's definitely a time and place for financial d/s relationships (even in ddlg), but this certainly isn't the place, so people shouldn't be wasting other people's time. If this site had a separate section specifically for that, fine- knock yourself out with that kind of nonsense. However, there isn't- so kindly fuck off with those sorts of interaction expectations while you're here.

Agreed. If I wanted to pay for attention there are sites where you can hire a pro to give you any experience you want. This isn't the place.

And to sidetrack but add to this.

 I also am seeing people asking for phone refills or help with bills in exchange for pics. This is not allowed so let us know if you are told someone needs financial assistance before they can send pics.

This site is free and if they can access the site they can send you a pic for free. Anything like pay to play or pay for pics will be treated as soliciting.

I fully concur with your observations on the matter. DDLG, at its core, is fundamentally rooted in mutual trust and a profound emotional bond. Financial considerations are entirely extraneous to this dynamic and should neither define nor influence its authenticity.

I’m at work so I can’t type as much as I want to - and I plan on writing much more when I have time outside of work. 
 

A point I wanted to make was the opposite side of this - people *offering* you money to give them your time. People come across hard times and might be enticed when someone lures them in with cash and money. Stay away from people with dollar bills attached to a lure.

This for sure. If you take a gander at fetlife, all you'll see is people with dollar signs in their eyes. If Findom is your thing, cool, but I think for most people it isn't. I'm sure we've all heard time is money. However when it comes to looking for love, money should be the last thing on your mind.

100% Fet can be a cesspool at times! As you say there is a time and place for that sort of thing and yes when getting into serious relationships money is important in the sense you want to both be financially stable, what we don’t need here are the people mentioned above, those looking to take advantage of people’s kindness or situations, it’s horrible and if I see it I will call it out! @DaddysMonkey post is also right about the flip side of my post too! I forgot she had a post up about it and it’s a phenomenal read as per with her writings!

This. I have a rule for friends or CG friends. My Daddy is the only one who spends money on me. Believe it or not I have had a few folks throw an absolute fit over it and I can always tell it is their manipulation tactic. So thank you for bringing this up.

If I had a penny for every time someone tried to throw money at me …. I’d have all the pennies 😅 I find it offensive more than anything - you think I can’t or don’t make my own fuckin money ? LOL.
