redruffle41 Posted May 24 Report Posted May 24 You guys!! I have this very small victory I need to share and I'm in middle/little mode right now so I'm putting it in here. It's for all you little kiddos anyways cuz it has to do with the very anxious part of relationships that I have been doing big learning about this year. (And also let me tell you I HATE this year. It has been so hard!) Ok, so usually what happens when I'm talking to a guy that possibly shows romantic potential is my brain says, "Oh, this our future partner now. It's this guy, right?!" Lol, I'm super fun. Anyways, then ANOTHER part of my brain goes, "No, no way. Don't fall for it. It's no way this guy is serious about you. Just treat him like a friend. Totally throw all the friend energy at him in the world .....that way we are totally safe and won't get hurt.". So, then I can just pine for him in silence and inevitably die alone. Lol, I'm so fun. Anyways, here is the big victory.....I decided to just not pay too much attention to either of those thoughts. Instead I just enjoy the moment. Any moments and all moments I just get to enjoy.......it's like...my secret third option that I have never realized how to do with this particular aspect of my self. So! Feels super good to just......be. any thoughts? Does anyone elses brain do this? 2
.คℓ𝐞メเᏰααα .ᐟ Posted May 24 Report Posted May 24 Just existing in the moment can be useful, but definitely think more serious things through, when it happens. No point in not having some fun, but don't be afraid to act if you'd like to keep a particular person around longer. Don't just settle, but don't over scrutinize either. Just live, let live and you'll find your special human eventually. 1 1
