MasterPhotog Posted May 25 Report Posted May 25 Since my computer is over 10 years old and not eligible for an upgrade to Windows 11, I've been considering installing a user-friendly version of Linux as an alternative. Although Linux Mint (Cinnamon Edition) has been hightly recommended, I'm unsure which Linux distribution would be best for someone coming from a Windows background. Ideally, I’m looking for a Linux distro that: Is beginner-friendly and familiar for Windows users Supports automatic updates, including security updates Comes with built-in antivirus protection (or has easy options for setting one up) I’d really appreciate any recommendations or advice from experienced Linux users. 1 1

LeftyGuitar Posted May 27 Report Posted May 27 Linux Mint is a good choice for those used to Windows. I've used Linux Mint and it was the best experience I had with Linux. If you want something that is light on resources you can xfce Linux Mint.
