Group Read Pole!!!

Hihi guys!!! So I know you all have been waiting and here it is. I had a very hard time but finally narrowed it down to five choices. I will do a revote if nessasary. The pole closes on Sunday night so vote away. Please only vote if interested or in book club!

 

I am posting the Goodreads clip of each. Make sure to check trigger warnings and such when applicable.  

I have also posted rules so please everyone read and respond that you did!

Whiooooooo boy. I’ve read Run Posy Run and I’m going to say it is FREAKING EPIC. I regularly reread this one at LEAST 2-3 times a year. So I’d be down for that again.

Yay!!! This makes me so happy to hear. I actually spent alot of time with the selections hoping to make it just right!!!

The NNC has officially chosen its first book .... Lights Out by Navessa Allen!!! Thanks all for participating 

 

I know this wasn't everyone's first choice but never fear. The next one will be a contemporary romance to keep it all fair and everyone happy.

 

We will start reading Monday and will have assigned chapters. Also dont forget about our reading sprint tomorrow to finish current books!! 

 

Feel free to aquire said book (it is 9$ currently on Kindle for anyone who reads there) and please let me know when yall are ready to read!!!

I appreciate it, but I know a lot of members will enjoy this read and I don't want to deprive anyone from a similar read in the future. I lost a close friend earlier this year and it's brought a lot of old trauma triggers to the surface. I'm having a hard time emotionally processing dark and angsty reads that at othertimes wouldn't be an issue. My self-care needs change day to day. A book I read last week might not be good for me to read tomorrow, and one I couldn't read yesterday may not be an issue a week from now. So no worries. I'll participate with group reads when I can. This is all just a part of my healing process. There's no hard feelings, I promise! 🙂

I 100% get and respect that!!! And can I just say how sorry I am for that experience. I am also working through a ton of trauma so if you ever need someone to just listen please dont hesitate friend.

And I more meant that the next read would be a "safer" one. I will for sure still alternate for folks and I am actually excited to do a light contemporary one with yall because it isnt my norm. But thank you very much for being understanding for us dark fans this go round!!
