SweetLittleDreamer Posted July 26 Report Posted July 26 I wasn’t quite sure where to put this, but since it’s about toys, I thought this was possible the best place. Recently I’ve been thinking a lot about my childhood, and specifically the toys I had growing up. I wasn’t a kid that really played, I wasn’t ever really allowed to, but I could get lost for hours playing with my dolls house. My dolls house wasn’t one that was made of wood or handed down generation to generation or fixed up by someone who loved me, no it was just the white plastic house with the blue roof that fisher price mass produced and sold millions of way back in the 90s, but I loved that thing so much.. and I still loved it even after it resulted in little 2 year old me needing to get plastic surgery! I was probably 13 when the decision was made for me that I was to old for it. My dolls house allowed me to imagine and dream of a family that I wanted so badly even from a young age, I realise now it was my escape form the yelling and fighting and everything else I had to contend with. I learnt today when looking for photos of it, that it’s official name was the Fisher Price Dream Dolls House, a name I believe fit it perfectly! What I wouldn’t give to still have it. Anyway… this rambling was to ask, when you were a kid what was your favourite toy to play with?

My favorite toy, wow that's been a long time ago lol But honestly my favorite toy was a rough work out looking brown bear named Teddy and he gave me so much comfort.
Lil_K47 Posted July 26 Report Posted July 26 you know I don't think you're ever too old to play. And it sounds like that dollhouse holds some very special meaning , and some great memories and provided you comfort. Maybe you should get yourself a dollhouse that you can play with now! It could be like a kind of self therapy I don't know, just a thought 😊
Lil_K47 Posted July 26 Report Posted July 26 oh and I was thinking about your comment the other day about never having a tea party! I really am serious about having a virtual tea party with you! I think @MissAnna and @BabyPoppy will be happy to join us and it would be so much fun! You deserve some time to play and be happy!

The only little things I can safely have are my colouring books & stuffies. If I’m ever in a situation where I can I will definitely be getting my dolls house back. 1 hour ago, Lil_K47 said: oh and I was thinking about your comment the other day about never having a tea party! I would like that… buuuut it would have to wait until the end of October when I house sit.. coz I don’t live somewhere I can do things like that.
