Productivity & Funtivity

Hello all you amazing, wise, smart and beautiful people, 

Due to circumstances I don’t really want to go into, my mental health has been on struggle street for the last little while. Due to this I have struggled with motivation to do productive things and even activities that I used to find joy in have become chores. 

I decided on Sunday night that I wanted to try and change this, so on Monday I was going to get 2 jars one for Productivity and the other for Funtivity…. Buuuuuuut turns out even that was a chore because it’s now Wednesday night and I’m only just getting to it… only it’s now not jars I’m making 2 wheel spinners in an app…. Anyway….

My thought process behind these spinners was each morning I would spin each wheel and whatever task and activity was chosen I would have the to complete that day. 

Task like:
Clean room  
Vacuum house  
Wash dishes 

Some tasks being broken down into multiple things figuring I could do more if I wanted to like washing my car and vacuuming my car, both in the wheel but separate, as my goal is to complete at least 1 manageable thing but if I was feeling particularly motivated I could still do both. 

Activities like:
Take 5 photos  
Go for a walk
Colour 

The reason I’ve swapped it to an app is because it means I can add little activities in this to, hopefully building my confidence and giving me more time in little space, so I’ve got things like watch a few episodes of a tv show and watch some cartoons, the latter being little space specific cartoons. 

Anyway my reason for this post is because I need help coming up with things to add to each wheel. I have a small handful already but I know there is more I could add,  so I was hoping for some suggestions?.. especially little space activity’s to possible try.
It’s ok to suggest something already there, I don’t have to put it again if it’s there already.

One I would recommend would be journaling. It could be both good for mental health and a little activity if you use pretty pens and doodle like I do lol.

I keep adding & removing this one. I used to do it all the time but then I discovered they were being read & it stopped feeling safe

i'm so sorry, that's horrible :( 

i know it's not the same feel as a physical journal, but you could maybe try a digital one. i like my notes app (the basic samsung one), it lets me password protect notes and i can put them in my phone's secure folder. and they're very customizable, i can change the paper background, the fonts, i can even draw and add pictures

You can always add something fun like coloring after a chore, or getting a piece of candy 

I pretend I'm on a show and being judged how I clean and if I'm really good I get a piece of candy 🥰

That’s what I’ve decided I’ll do. Use my notes app. Hopefully I don’t get it often. It’s still something I’m unsure on doing again.

I have another idea for a reward scheme to keep try and keep me accountable

That's awful! I'm so sorry that happened to you 😢 I hope the digital journal helps heal some of that trauma for you.
