Sending you lots of hugs for support! I don't know if its feasible but maybe you could find a way to "take a long bath" and have a little shower bag to keep your little things in to take with you so you can do your nightly routine. May not be something you can do the whole time but it could be a way to sneak it in for your mental health. (side note, your location made me giggle)

I'm the same way, can't sleep without a stuffie in my arms. I've just stopped caring what others, even family, think about it. Hope you have a fun trip!!

I used to travel a ton for work and my Wife always used to send me with a small Gund stuffed bear thst we called Cubbins. I worked recruiting for a uniformed federal department and it was never an issue. Honestly, if a stuffie helps you sleep take one. I'm 47 and my Wife and my Daddy never let me go anywhere overnight without a stuffie.

He's about a foot and a half long but about a foot tall. Big enough to cuddle and small enough to ride on top of my luggage. One of the hotels I stayed at had put him in a little sleeping bag when cleaning the room, it was adorable.

One trip down to Virginia to see a Daddy, I was 23 at the time, I took a 3 foot tall stuffed bear. On the way back one of the flight attendants came over and told me I couldn't have the bear in my lap. I was a bit disappointed thinking I'd have to put the bear in the overhead, nope. The flight attendant just said, "all passengers need their own seat and to be buckled in". She took the bear and buckled him into the seat beside me.

Honestly, stuffed animals are generally given a pass with just a few friendly jokes. Heck, my mom gave my dad one when he was diagnosed with cancer and he took thst bear everywhere with him until he passed away. At the end of the day if someone has an issue with a stuffie it says more about them than you.

I pack a little bag with coloring books, a small plushie, and snacks that feel safe. I also bring comfy clothes that help me feel small even in grown-up places.
