Subtle little items.

Recommended Posts

Hello all you amazing, wise, smart and beautiful people,

Lately when I’ve been feeling little I’ve been getting a little agitated because beyond colouring & cartoons, I have no other little things or activities to do when I’m little space, & well I love both of those things, I’m starting to grow a little bored of them. I know there are a lot of posts asking about little items/activities but for me they need to be subtle & easily put away somewhere they can’t be seen due to my living situation (like under my bed or in a lockable locker I have). Does anyone have any suggestions on anything?
I am open to any suggestions which is why I haven’t listed any examples or things of interest.

thanks in advance!

So I tend to have a very small little age and one of my FAVORITE things to do when little is glue paper. Sounds silly but like really young collage where I cut or rip paper and sit quietly with Daddy and just glue them down however I want. You can add whatever spin you want with stickers or gems or washi tape but since I feel very young I just glue them down. Hope thia wasnt a silly suggestion lol and good luck.

My best friend bunny is my life, I have boxes full of stuffies!! I think my family are about ready to preform a stuffie intervention. To my my stuffies are not just a little thing, I simply just love them & my family know this.
but I mean your suggestion really is just the evidence & excuse I need to prove I need more so I’ll take it!

You can never have too many stuffies. Who would tell you that you have too many friends? Honestly I should be getting more too.

Sad sad people! People who don’t know the joy of having a stuffie by your side!

One of the things I'm trying is colourful little hairclips, should be easy to stash away, or even explain away. I guess depending on your little age, I leaning older so I'd go for some small toys in that position, like the smaller cars, ponies or such.

I recently discovered poseable plushies so those are my current little obsession (especially the anime ones). Gojo and Bakugo are currently having a tea party.

I can’t do hair clips sadly, they are a sensory nightmare for me.. but I love shopping for them for my little nieces that do!!
I’ve been looking at a lot of small things cars included.. the car mats in my car are made from the old kids floor mat that was like the little town with the roads to drive your cars on!

how about activity books? They're the size of coloring books. I've seen a lot of them with stickers in them and  those are super fun! But a lot of them have like crosswords and words searches, I personally love the word searches! A lot of of them have different puzzles and stuff in them.

oh and just collecting stickers of any kind and making sticker albums is really fun and those are easy to stash away!

Those shaker/mixer drink cups low-key look like sippy cups. Put whatever juice, water, beverage that you want.

I like to get hoodies or tops with super long sleeves to feel little.

Big fuzzy bunny slippers or some other cute animal/style that you like for wearing around the house.

I get fun themed food containers to pack snacks and lunch in. Create your own lunchable.

Create a playlist that you can listen to for littlespace at bedtime.

A cozy blankie! Choose a print or color that you associate with being little.

I really enjoy crafts (aside from coloring) such as painting pet rocks, making fairy houses from clay, crocheting sweet themed accessories by Twinkie Chan. There are adults all over social media with patterns or DIY crafts related to childhood.

Collect figurines you like for littlespace. Dolls, characters from a cartoon or anime show.

Add hair accessories like flower clips, bows, or colorful scrunchies.

Paint your nails or get your nails painted with a color that makes you think of littlespace.

You don't need "authentic" baby or ddlg products from popular brands to get that headspace. There are so many ideas to make it work subtly!

That's so cool! A friend of mine had one of those mats in the back of his old van. He wasn't a little to my knowledge, just like a quirky ironic thing to have in a van he owned :3

I think everyone was already touched on most things. Such as oversized or character clothes (I have a Care Bear hoodie on my list.) hair clips, or jewelry. Tumblers. purse clips,Etc.

What about sheets or bedding., make up products, loads of places that do collaborations. I'm thinking kitsch and creme shop specifically.

I know I say this all the time, but journals! You can draw, color, doodle, scrap, creative writing. Whatever you want. It's your journal.

I love workbooks like English and Math.  I use ones for older kids but there are workbooks out there for really young ages too.  Puzzle books are fun too.  Word searches or crosswords.  I also have a really small mouse plushie that I carry around in an outside pocket of my backpack.  It looks girly and cute without being obviously little.  Trading cards are another thing I like and I have a small collection of Thomas the Tank Engine minis.  It can be fun to collect something and it's not inherently for kids or obviously little.  :)

I’ve looked at activity books a few times.. a local store does little activity packs, they range from $2 to maybe $8 depending on what you get plan & generic are $2 and then character ones start at $4 and go up depending on popularity. I’ve also looked at those sticker books and things.
oh if I see cute stickers I get them.. I have an Amazon Wishlist of just sticker packs/sheets I want! I recently made close to 100 digital stickers on my phone.. I just googled things like cute clip art and then turned them into stickers using my phones sticker feature!

These are all such good ideas, a few I already do/have. Like I LOVE my Oodies especially in winter.. right now I have my elmo & Cookie Monster one on… and I have a stitch one THAT HAS EARS!!!!! I do have bunny slippers but due to having sensory issues having my foot covered makes it feel like the skin is burning. My blankie is the one my grandma used to give me when I stayed at her house. It’s soft and fluffy and for a while it smelt like her but then my dog changed that.

I don’t know what the cups you mentioned are but I’ll definitely be looking into them.

Most places where I’m from don’t do cute or littleish bedding once you go bigger then a double bed, but I did find a store that had Snow White ones in Queen & I want them so bad!! It’s rare to find anything Snow White here & she’s my favourite classic princess!!

I don’t wear make up, it makes me itch! But I always stop to look at all the cute collabs brands are doing!!

Ohh I collect Pokémon & Disney Lorcana trading cards! I want to collect more different ones! I used to collect playing card decks to but they got expensive for themed ones!

I had a bunny keychain on my keys for a long time, but when I started to drive it kept getting in the way so I took it off.
