I'm going to harp on my favorite subject again, because I just thought about it! Maybe journaling or some sort of creative writing/scrapbooking could be helpful also.

I love journaling and I have scrapbooked before

Its not harping it's called caring and I appreciate all you do

I have a few ideas... I spend a lot if time waiting at doctors, too...

- sticker books - peal and stick to matching number or a background with stickers that can be repositioned

- simple word searches (Bible stories. Princesses, seasons) - i get mine at the Dollar store

- joke book - you can start conversations with random people over why you're laughing

- random fidgets... I have several small stuffies from the baby section of the store I can squish if I feel scared... tangle, marble mesh, infinity cubes...there's soooo many more but my brain does remember the names... we use letter and number transformers in preschool and they can connect to make massive robots!

- play doh??? It comes in tiny 2 oz containers so you could have multiple colors... make cute creatures...bring a paper plate to put them on...

- I love mazes, worksheets,  matching, how to draw videos,

- scratch art (but it gets messy)

- strong mints like altoids, lemon drops, peppermint oil drops if you can find them are the best (they got my aunt through chemo and radiation)

- origami???

- Lego plants (the sets)

- stencils, tracing, outlining

- tearing paper - old newspaper ads like grocery ads tearing them into strips or small pieces to make confetti... (🤫🤭 i only told you to make it, not throw it! 😆)

- beads to make bracelets

It kinda depends on how you're feeling... I have plenty more ideas...

When I was in the hospital for around 3 weeks, I was going batty. Couldn’t really watch tv cuz my glasses were destroyed in the accident, couldn’t color or hold a book cuz it was too painful, had zero interest in food. An odd recommendation that helped me pass the time was making lists in my head of all the things I wanted to do when I got out. The next day, all the things I wanted to eat, the next all the places I wanted to visit. It was my motivation to get better and have something to look forward to. Maybe some coloring, Netflix and games as others suggested. And when all else fails, sleep. When and how you can. Next thing you know they’re gently waking you saying it’s done. I hope you have minimal to no side effects, it crushes whatever it’s intended to and you are up on the mend much sooner than anticipated. 🫶
