MissNMTX Posted September 6 Report Posted September 6 Please forgive the vent, but I wanted to share some lessons learned recently. My sweet friend who recently passed and her daughters were living in a hoard. A real life just like the TV show hoard. Today starting at 8 and ending at around 2 due to heat. A team of 10 or more of us worked on cleaning out this house. A house that had no water for I don't know how long with a 50 yr old, a 10 yr old and a 6 yr old. None of us knew! I'm devastated, not as much for my sweet friend's passing, but for how she and her daughters were living! Nothing in her outward presentation to the world would have indicated any of this. The sight of my community coming together this morning was truly beautiful, but my friend and her girls didn't benefit from it when they were together. Please please please if you need help ack. People are there and will come together to help. Please don't wait until you're so far under something there's no way out. There's always a way out! Please live your life authentically while it can be enjoyed and you can see the goodness of your life right Infront of you My friend was a wonderful, energetic lady always going out of the way to enthusiastically help other's. I'm glad her girls see that coming back now. I'm saddened my friend didn't get to enjoy w. 3
MasterPhotog Posted September 6 Report Posted September 6 Thank you so much for sharing this, no need to apologize at all. This isn’t venting, it’s real, honest, and from the heart. I can only imagine how heavy today must have felt, both physically and emotionally. What you and the others did was such an incredible act of love and service, your friend would’ve been so deeply touched by that kind of care for her girls. It’s heartbreaking to know what was happening behind closed doors, especially when someone shows up in the world with so much energy and generosity, like your friend did. It’s a powerful reminder that we never really know what someone might be carrying, and how important it is to check in on each other, and to reach out when we’re the ones struggling, even when it’s hard. Your words are such a meaningful call to live authentically and ask for help when we need it. There is always a way through, and your friend’s story, and your compassion in sharing it, will no doubt stay with those who hear it. I'm so sorry for your loss, and also so moved by the beauty and strength of your community in coming together for her daughters. That love matters. It always will. Sending you care and strength as you continue to process all of this. You're making a difference just by sharing. ❤️ 1
Josey Wales Posted September 7 Report Posted September 7 Often the people who need our help the most , those we love often don’t want our help or refuse it , it’s a mystery why but we can still love them , that all we really have to offer that’s of any meaning LOVE
