Ba4
What do you do when your stuffies get really worn out? I can’t just throw them away. But I also have A LOTTTTTT of them and they’re starting to look so worn out that they look sad
Little Illy
Dont listen to ANY DIY youtube videos because they all LIE! Trust me... my poor stuffies... I have been recommended to take them to a dry cleaner and explain what they need - is it dust, dirt, food, etc. I believe they have the capabilities to truly clean them, but I haven't been. So I don't know for sure. Edited July 27, 2018 by Little Illy

Guest Nocent
You know I am surprised that no one has mentioned this but you can re-purpose the material into a blanket providing you know someone that can sew or that you can sew. I have see quilts in particular fashioned from stuffies or even worn baby blankets but that is the option of a Daddy invading little space. I’ve done it with secondhand ones in the past and they were fine. But you always need to check the label! Is muchos importants. And some can be gently surface washed with a toothbrush and a little washing detergent. I also opened up and re-stuffed one of mine. But I kinda miss his floppy arms lol ^^

Those videos ruined 3 of my stuffies... like, in the trash ruined... I was devastated. They either matted the material, stained, discolored, or actually weakened it in general. Not a good idea. I have put my stuffies through the washer plenty of times, on delicate and cold! And NEVER dry them in a dryer - put them in an open, airy place that gets fresh circulation and let them dry naturally. My brother put my old primary stuffie in the dryer by accident once... I had to preform foot surgery on my stuffie afterwords... Though I have found that the washer doesn't really clean the older, more dirtier stuffies. Which is why I looked into the dry cleaner! One day I will be brave enough to hand over a stuffie and find out! XD

I used a toothbrush and bicarb soda on my super old carebears to spot clean them and they were good as new. Aside from my carebears I don’t have many old plushies. I mostly acquired the ones I have currently over the last couple of years. Secondhand ones that can’t be washed aren’t allowed on the bed though :3 only the ones that are able to be washed. Just ‘cause allergies and germaphobia. I’m sorry about your stuffies that had to go away though. ): I can see why you’d be very upset about that, m upset for you just thinking about it.
