Guest CollateralBeauty
I know what I needBut you’re what I want.My mind says “you need these”But my heart disregardsAll the signs that you are trouble. I know what I needBut you’re what I want. When I am up at 2amWith a broken heartAnd if feels like my world is falling apart. I know what I needBut you’re what I want. And little do you knowThat while falling apartYou are still all I want and it kills me. I’m what you needBut am I really want you want?

ShadowsGrace
I understand so well. I am on the recovering end of this scenario, but it has been a rough ride. It's frustrating to know what you want is probably the worst thing for you. It's illogical, but ever so difficult to change and let go. And the last two lines especially hit me. Knowing they left for someone who will likely never care half as much or be there like I would. At first it's insulting, but I know I have a lot to offer so it just becomes sad that no matter what you feel you can't change them or make them appreciate what they had. Someday when they are broken they will understand, far too late. Edited August 21, 2018 by ShadowsGrace
Guest CollateralBeauty
Very nice. I really like this. Thank you Lass! I just did what you had told me to do and wrote down what I was thinking. this was beautiful! Thank you! I may add more to it eventually. I was just getting too emotional writing it.
