I've always loved the way my family did it! We made about 200 candy bags every year, with a trademark sticker. The day of, we would set up a "restaurant" in our garage, with spooky characters sitting around a table, a waitress and a menu! We just handed out the bags, but it was fun to create something a little different and have people come back every year and remember it :) This is my first Halloween out of the house so I'll find something new to like. Pumpkins are cool too!

I love Jack o'lanterns and silly spooky movies and candy! I love decorating in a fun spooky way for all the little kids in my neighborhood. I enjoy seeing all their costumes. This year, I am trying to decide between Merida, and a fox costumes.

The decorations, themed accessories and stickers. I bought SO many stickers over the weekend.

But wish it wasn’t happening in Spring in AUS.

Such a hot derpy time for it. Really ruins the vibe when the sun’s going down at like 8-9pm.

Um...I like everything? I loooooove carving pumpkins and make my own patterns for them every year. Raiding the thrift store for costume pieces is also so fun, last year I was a rather dashing pirate (if I do say so myself) and this year I’m going as Ocelot (from MGSV). And ALL THE CANDY. I will take every single packet of those sour cherry gummies if no one’s looking.

Oh, and I get to take Gilbert the Derpy Ghost out of storage. He’s a ghost decoration that’s supposed to shake and go WOOOoooooOooo if someone walks by but the sensor is broken, so he just does it whenever he feels like. Gilbert don’t care.

The weather is also ALWAYS whack where I am, too (either the first snow of the year or 25 degrees) so that can be entertaining!

I was such a big fan of getting dressed up in something cool. After my sister reached a certain age, we just hung out inside. I've noticed that as I get older, I start celebrating Halloween after Halloween with the 50% off candy sales. I grew up in Connecticut so I am familiar with the autumn foliage, the possible snowstorms to cancel Halloween, and the smell of autumn rain. Now, I live in Florida. This will be my first Halloween here. I am looking forward to it with a few expectations. In general, I just like to stay home, watch horror movies, and relax. I am a big fan of pumpkin products. I already bought pumpkin spice nuts the other day. My dad couldn't be bothered. My mom enjoys pumpkin almost as much as I do.

to be honest i am at the age where i should stop trick or treating but i am old enough to pass as a teenager trick or treating or something. i'd love to do some sort of fun halloween activity with my daddy though whenever we can. i usually just go trick or treating though, from what i can remember. then me and my sister trade candies we don't want to each other and stuff.

The creativity. No one seems to be as creative with decorations, parties or outings with other holidays as they are with Halloween.

So much so that apparently it isn't even really a massive thing here in Aussie Land. So I plan on throwing a Halloween party, USA style, to show the mates here how we get spooky this time a year B)

Interestingly, I've noticed a big shift in changing the rules about Halloween. In New England, they want to change the actual date to make it more convenient (like a weekend rather than a school night). In other places, I heard they're trying to enforce age limits, and curfew times, on everyone going out at night. It's honestly stupid, and it takes away from the fun and equality for everyone. I guess if a neighborhood has a lot of older kids, it's not fair when the younger treaters' are left with nothing. I never understood the lazy people leaving candy bowls outside anyway. What's the point? Edit: I had to add the curfew times. Now, that's also understandable, but every neighborhood generally has a set time every year. Either when the candy is gone or it slows down. Do people really go out until midnight?

i mean when i was little (like actually little and a real kid), i never stayed out super late. the latest i stayed out as a teenager trick or treating was 9 or 10 at night i think and thats cause i was trick or treating with my best friend. i dont think there should be an age limit on it though. as far as i know, there isnt but if u go trick or treating as an adult, society tends to look down on ya cause its not "socially acceptable".
