Sensitive Teeth

I don't know about you guys, but I have found I can't use pacis or certain types of sippies because I have sensitive teeth. So I thought we could put together a list of alternatives for little's with sensitive teeth. So far, though, all I can think is using crazy straws instead of sippy cups.

Do you have any ideas?

Sensitive in what way? My understanding was sensitive teeth related to temperature things. Like it hurts when you eat or drink something cold and I don't see how pacis can do that. ._.

If your teeth hurt stop doing what you're doing. If they still hurt go to the dentist. If you have your adult teeth, stop sucking on or putting non-flesh hard things in your mouth.

Op - Adventure is right. Unless you have a pre-existing condition, painful teeth (correlated with pacis) can easily mean you are damaging your teeth. Unless adult pacis - no paci is designed for an adult mouth, and because of this it does not sit naturally in it. This is where discomfort or even pain come from. IF ignored, and pacis are continually used, it can lead to massive dental issues and needing things like braces. Adult pacis are better and even softer. These designs are developed for the adult mouth, but even still, if you get pain or discomfort, stop immediately.

As for recommendations:

For Biting/Chewing:

- teething toys, but go gentle [seriously]

- homemade popsicles (made out of juice)

- fruit / frozen pieces of fruit

- tootpicks

For Sucking:

- children's spoon

- regular spoon

- lollipops (can do organic and stuff for healthy lollis)

- NOT YOUR THUMB - can be just as damaging to your teeth and can cause blisters on your thumb

- Ring Pop

Fyi, my teeth are sensitive to cold and I know for fact I'm not the only one who has complained about pacis hurting their teeth because there have been multiple threads on it. And, yes, I have been to my dentist about it and all they recommended was using a special toothpaste for sensitive teeth since there is nothing actually wrong with my teeth.

Mochi! I had this problem too for the longest time - my teeth were sensitive and using the special paste was doing absolutely nothing!  My old denstist retired and I saw a new guy who was brilliant, he correctly guessed that I might have been grinding my teeth in the middle of the night and fitted me with one of those plastic retainer things to wear as I sleep. After a good amount of time wearing it - no more random tooth pain! I could eat ice cream without pain and it was wonderful :p

Also, do you get fluoride trays when you go to the dentist? Those can also help.
