Is DDLG more prone to “cheating?”

Like older maybe married man- younger girl- secret relationship type stuff? I feel like by the very nature of the older guy younger girl this must happen more- no?

 

And when I say cheating I mean- they both know he’s not single, not that the DDLG “couple” keeps things from each other.

Not really..? DDLG and it's counterparts like DDLB are just like any other relationship. If someone is unfaithful then that's on them, but you shouldn't try to categorize an entire lifestyle based on it.

Anyone in any type of relationship can cheat; But DDLG/DDLB is more complex and intimate then a regular relationship. 

 

Again, anyone can cheat but dont blame the lifestyle, thats not what it deals with!

its not the dynamic, its the people, there are all sorts out there and no matter what kinks or dynamic is at play some will cheat and some wont even consider it

 

if you are looking into this with the hope i means less cheating you need to consider the people you are putting your time into there are people out there who rationalise and extend the fantasy to fit whatever they like/want and that is expected since we are all individuals who are interested in different things for a wide array of reasons

 

like i said its not the dynamic, its the people.

In short- no. ‘Cheating’ is up to the individual.

Using any sort of lifestyle decision as a cover-up is weak.

Anyone can cheat. If they want to do it they'll do it regardless of if they're into ddlg or not. Maybe some people are attracted to the lifestyle because they think people are completely open or desperate or whatever... but that's a bad reason to be into ddlg lol. 

 

Being into kink doesn't make anyone more or less likely to cheat. If someone wants to do it they'll do it regardless of its a kink or vanilla relationship. ._.

Despite the popularized image of DD/LG, most ppl imo do not have a huge age gap with their partner. A lot of ppl go for ppl around their age or a few years difference. Regardless, like others have said DD/lg or vanilla cheating merely depends on the individual and not their lifestyle. Huge age gap or no age gap, one doesnt cheat more than the other either.

I 'd say no. My ddlg relationships have been way more serious and committed.

I'd say if people took this dynamic as seriously as they expect their partner to, then this dynamic should have far fewer cheaters. Or one would think. In my opinion, people jump into DDlg way too quickly and that is why we see the cycles all over the forum.

 

But what everyone is saying is true. Cheating isn't a DDlg thing (though short attention spans or unrealistic expectations make it happen more and more) but it is a *human* thing.

 

Every dynamic and relationship types has fallen prey to cheating. But ironically, I was never cheated on until I learned about DDlg and started a potential DDlg relationship. But the relationship type is irrelevant (dynamically speaking), what really causes cheating are how the individuals are acting with a relationship.

 

Are they communicating? Are the being receptive of their partner's feelings? Are they trying to keep that connect and bond alive and well? Are they nurturing and supporting each other? Are they opening up to each other? Etc.

 

What type of dynamic or relationship causes cheating? Incompatibility and not communicating.
