Too many snackies!

I struggle with my weight. Especially when there’s so many yummy snackies! Does anyone else struggle with weight or trying to lose weight, want to share tips or be weight loss buddies? I’ve started having fruit for snackies  :p

-.- oh those woes lol

I also have ‘oral fixation’, so I like chewing/masticating but usually crunchy things like chips (crisps), crackers and stuff.

So I’ve recently bought a bunch of different flavoured gums, sugar free gummies, and mints. I’m also going to get some silicone chew necklaces, the pendant on them is basically a silicone chew toy. So far the gum’s working, although I don’t really love gum. Blowing bubbles is fun though. ^^

Carrot or celery sticks with dip, or even without, is a good nom.

Also sugar free or low cal yoghurt snacks.

Peanuts, rice cakes- I recently found chocolate coated rice bars which is pretty much like a rice cake thinly coated in chocolate.

Berries.

Sugar free jello (you could use cute silicone moulds if a bowl or container is too boring).

And finding other things to focus on.

-.- The urge to snack on stuff is hard to beat though.

I’m open to getting to know each other and be diet buddies with people, if you’re serious about it. ^^

Yes diet buddies! I am trying so hard to lose the weight. I've found these yummy watermelon popsicles. Only 60 calories too. I've also found that bot having something is bad. So I just have a little of what I want.

i don't count calories or anything, & my goal isn't weight loss,

but i've started eating more healthy, protein-rich snacks due to my medical issues!

so this thread is super relevant for me.

i'm really into veggie puffs & veggie sticks & straws if i'm in the mood for something like a chip.

sun chips are great for that urge, too!

& pretzels! they make itty bitty ones & sticks & waffles & so many cute shapes now.

smart food popcorn is great too -- i get the little snack bags & make sure i limit myself.

nuts, pumpkin seeds, & sunflower seeds are great for snacks that take some work --  i know i like ones that i have to spend time with because i feel full faster.

I have the oral fixation problem too. Sometimes I just need to chew on things and food is often the easiest and most satisfying thing around. ><

I personally like mint gum, roasted chickpeas, and veggies with hummus. Lollipops can also be really nice because they last a long time, but I don't like sweet things too often. I'm more of a savoury person ^^

When I was a lil kid one of my favourite snacks was apples and cheese cut up into small cubes. I don't do that now because it's just easier to eat an apple lol.... but cutting up fruit small and adding cheese or nuts or something could be a good snack. Just make everything bite sized ^^

What are the veggie puffs? They sound yummy? I love fruits and veggies I just don’t eat anywhere near the amount I should and need too. However the last 2 days I’ve been snacking on berries and fruits and eating more healthier clean meals and I feel a tad bit better in myself just for making the smallest of changes. Does anyone do packed lunches to take to work? What kind of things do you pack?

Fruits are a great substitute for sweets! I cannot stomach candies, and will get sick to my tummy if I eat like two gummy worms >,< So I always have fruit around my house to num on. Dried fruits are good too!

And when you want something more, there's tons of recipes online for all sorts of cookies, pancakes and sweets that are healthier than the usual, and they're really fun to make!

ok, let me educate you on the gift that is veggie puffs.

you can get them for adults in the chip aisle as well as for babies if you prefer a snack that's for kids.

they are puffed snacks made with veggies that taste /so yummy/.

the ones i get (from the dollar store) are flavored! sour cream & cheddar.

The Giant packs me lunch every day!

he usually gives me leftovers from the night before (if we have 'em) in a small container, or a sandwich on a whole wheat wrap.

i like tuna & pickles a lot, as well as chicken salad!

if he's giving me chunks of meat & cheese, i just skip the bread all together!

then, he usually adds a fruit/veggie & one snacky-thing.

stuff like sugar snap peas

carrot sticks

olives

pickled veggies

a banana

berries

apple sauce pouches

& stuff like smart food popcorn

pretzels

cheez-its

goldfish

sun chips

wheat thins (i really like the tomato basil ones)

ritz bits

the key to lunch preparation, in my opinion, is that The Giant packs a lunch that you'd give a child.

we use child-sized containers for the main part of lunch

& the snack bags we get are the ones they sell in bulk.

we like the "baked & popped" collection bc it has pretzels & popcorn

& all the chip bags are baked ones.

but you can get little cute snack baggies instead of sandwiches baggies at any store!

D: Also flavoured rice cakes are good for snacks. I get sour cream & chive flavour.

I also think I’ve seen these ‘veggie puffs’ Jelly mentioned above. I just haven’t tried them.

I guess I’ll have to now. ^^

D: I TOTALLY FORGOT-

Light whipped cream, the kind in a can.

It’s rly low cal (not that you’re necessarily tryna watch that) and low sugar.

Even the norm one is pretty low cal & low sug per 20g (idk lbs/ounces).

You can have it with berries.

Or canned/preserved apple or pears, add a lil cinammon and it’s like deconstructed pie. ^^

Same with porridge, you can add cinammon, sugar & apple or pear. And put it in a cute lil bowl.

https://goo.gl/images/Dbjfy2 <--- this for breakfast with a bread that is full with various seeds/grains. You have to chew so much that in the end you cant eat because your jaws hurt

banana chips are great. instead of normal chips, this is great alternative.

we all also know the kale chips.

i love nectarines, they are great because they are crunchy , not so sweet not so sour. So cutting them in little pieces and snacking while i do something else is nice too.

smoothies and natural juices. I used to take water mellon, cut it and make a juice out of it. You cant feel more full than a whole jar of it, plus you will pee all of it :p

i want a buddy to share diet foods per day as we go through out diets, so i am all for it :D

i also go for salads, for example this ----> http://prntscr.com/ky2i1k

it has a looot of veggies inside, nice and crunchie, and due to red kidney beans and corn you will feel extremely full and get your protein for the day.

how about tortilla wraps , with lots of veggies, the protein that you choose (plant based or animal based) and some healthy sauce.

since i am greek i also love doing this one https://goo.gl/images/j4qZN9

which is pita bread made like tortilla, with greek salad ingredients (tomato, cucumber, feta cheese, kalamata olives and tzatziki sauce)

if you happen to be vegan , or not like jogurt tell me to send you a recipe for that )

Omg this is a biggggg struggle of mine expecially cuz me and daddy work opposite schedules so usually he isn’t home to portion out my food for me or make sure I am eating healthy.

I have had trouble with balanced eating On both sides of the spectrum so daddy doesn’t let me diet or count calories but I do a lot of the mindful eating tips and they really help. If I’m bored but not feeling hunger pangs I drink a whole cup of hot tea with nothing in it. Usually that satiates me. Or I chew some gum. Or sometimes crunch ice (but I think this is bad for your teeth’s)

Also there’s this awesome app I have that you take pictures of what you eat so you keep track of how much you’re eating and what % is healthy without counting calories or dieting.

But at the end of the day just remember Jsut try to be healthy but also let yourself have treats cuz you’re adorable and every little deserves to have yummy snacking

is the app similar to my fitnesspal? i used to use that one a lot but sometimes i forget to add the food. its like where you can scan the barcode of your food and add the weight and then it automatically calculates all the macronutrients whats in the food?
