Guest Babygirlsweden
Hi everyone! I was just wondering if anyone here has any special rules that you try to enforce even if you don't have a caregiver? I'm a little in Sweden and I currently don't have a caregiver, but I would still like to set some rules for me. So if you have any rules that you try to enforce without a caregiver please let me know Little Emma
Guest Dulci
No daddy here; just general rules are always good; If you're bad at brushing your teeth morning/night - make it a ruleIf you don't eat breakfast - make it a rule to do so Set bedtime at 10pm - so you have a good nights sleep (or at least no devices after that time) No treats after dinner if you don't eat your veggies.... and then adding onto that one, eat your veggies! I used to be the worst at eating breakfast, but it's the most important meal of the day and all that, so I made it a rule for myself and now I can't go a morning without it You could get yourself some stickers, and when you don't break a rule, give yourself a sticker. Guest Bunnyblossom
Prior to my husband being my Daddy, I tried to implement rules for myself too. Bed before midnight (or I’d be awake til 4am or later). No caffeine after 4pm. Have Breakfast, even if it’s simple and small. Drink more water. Take pain killers when in pain (I’m bad at pain management). Have vitamins with dinner or breakfast daily. Try to follow self-care routine checklist. Be prompt and punctual to appointments. Make phonecalls I don’t want to make. & General Chores Do something I know I don’t want to do, to be productive. Self-care routine: Do face mask every few days, even if I don’t feel like it. Wash face before bed, or at least use micellar water & cotton pads. Brush hair. Paint nails once a week, even if it’s one colour. Excercise or yoga 3 times a week for 30mins each- bare minimum. Stretch muscles before bedtime & within 20mins of waking up. My BFF and I have sticker books that we write our accomplished goals in, or a list of goals to complete that day, and put a sticker down once each task is finished. I’m crap at self-care and all that kinda stuff currently, but those are the ‘rules’ I’d kinda set out for myself.
Pup
I have some rules and I need to follow them. This would be a good start for me. Going to bed around 10 pm Brush my teeth daily One cookie a day, not more Do the dishes everyday If I have done the dishes, I can reward myself with some time. This can be pillowfort time, stuffie hug time, hulahoop or dance time, (In an onesie of course, hihi.) Or watching a tv show, color time, everything is possible. It's just being little, and taking time for that. Also: Chores don't have to be all "chores". It reminds me of the song: A spoonful of sugar from mary poppins. Make it fun! Dance a bit, put on a fun song, etc. This works very good with doing the dishes and brushing teeth. Not so well with going to bed haha. Hope this helps! Guest Arc
There's a lot of good suggestions above ^^ I find the hardest thing is sticking to it since you don't have anyone else to answer to lol. You can let yourself away with a lot. So if you find yourself struggling you could try a sticker chart, or make a deal with yourself that you follow all of the rules for one week you get some kind of treat. ^^
Guest Babygirlsweden
Yeah I think all the rules are great, but I agree with you Arc that they might be hard to follow. I am thinking about doing a sticker chart for myself so I know if I am following the rules or not, and yeah. But I am so happy that so many of you wrote down the rules that you have - it makes me really happy
Pai
I'd like to make some but I don't know how to make them work for me. I've tried many different styles and probably will try again in near future but I tend to go in too much detail with everything and end up overwhelming myself. A few days ago I bought lollies for myself so I can have one when I do something reasonable like a chore or take a shower or brush my hair or something but it's so hard without proper authority - I ended up eating some of them just because I wanted... StrawberryDoll
Do not sleep more than 9 hours. Brush your teeth after every meal. Shower every day. Brush your hair in the morning and before sleep. Put on sunscreen before going out. Always keep your room clean and tidy. Go to sleep before 12 at night. Use one day of the week for a self-care session. Do not skip breakfast and dinner. Do not eat too many sweets. Eat at least one fruit a day. Do sport at least once a week. Do your homework before playing or watching TV. Make the bed every day. Keep your closet and clothes neat. Don't walk around the house without socks, especially in winter.
