LittleCelticLass
For a onesie, you are going to want to look for a stretch knit, or t-shirt material most likely. Most fabric stores have an area dedicated to fabrics for infants, that's where you should look first. Also, pre-wash in hot so if your fabric is going to shrink, it does it before you sew, not after. Guest Arc
You can make them from almost anything you want, really. Something that's 4-way stretch will be easiest for fitting because you don't have to get the pattern perfect. I made a bodysuit recently from velvet, and in the past I've even made bodysuits from 2+ different materials. Just go with something stretchy that you like the look and feel of. ^^
Guest Ittybittyberry
That is so cool that you can sew a onesie. I've tried the really basic make one out of atshirt . Let me just say it works for a week till it got annoying. For you any kind fabric with stretch will . Like Arc mentioned you need to like the fabric . Hope your onesie turns out terrific !!
