With Halloween just 72 hours (give or take) away. I think it'd be nice to share everyone's favorite movies of the holiday. My favorites are probably the old 80's slasher movies. They're just so corny its kinda comedic.

Fun fact: Friday the 13th (1980) had a budget of $700,000 USD and bought home over $70,000,000 in its first two weeks in theaters. That's a profit margin of 1050% !

A Nightmare on Elmstreet (1985) is definitley my favourite. I agree with the corny comedic value with this one, especially right at the end when Freddy grabs Nancy’s mum and she’s clearly a stuffed dummy but the rest of the effects in that movie I actually really like! Like Johnny Depp’s death, and when Freddy cuts himself and it’s all green and goopy inside... it sort of matches the fact that he comes to you in your dreams, and all the effects are sort of cartoony and dreamlike too. So spooky!

And I’m not sure if it counts as horror but Silence of the Lambs is probably my favourite of all genres anyways! The scene where Buffallo Bill is dancing is the best scene ever!!!

I think it would be the first Jeepers Creepers. It was pretty intense. None of the follow up movies touch the horror of the first one. Pretty soon I Will probably think of another movie that tops this one.

My favorite scary movie is Sleepaway Camp, but I also enjoy Jeepers Creepers, House of Wax (00's), and The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (00's).

The Thing (‘82) is #1 for me, followed by Train to Busan. The Evil Dead is a great low-budget romp. Some horror movies out of the last few years that really impressed me are The Witch, It Follows, and The Babadook.

I know I'm a tad late but The Strangers is my favourite one! There is something about non supernatural horror movies that just get to me! Humans haunting, tormenting and murdering other humans just feels more real almost! Like, if I was in the wrong place at the wrong time then it could happen to me so that can actually frighten me a little!
