Remodeling my room with an aesthetic oriental vibe. got tips?

Hey ho everyone! im remodeling my bedroom and as the title suggests, it'll be heavily inspired by the oriental region, specifically feudal Japan. (Super original, i know right?)

any way,I'd appreciate any and all tips! like, what color should my wallpaper be? i definetly want my bedroom to be a place of zen and am aiming towards putting a battlestation in at some point in the near future. i would like to make use of the classic red sun and maybe some green to mimic bambooforests? definetly gonna be making use of RGB strips. literally any and all tips from decorations to furniture would be much appreciated!

Oh! forgot to mention, i would prefer to keep it neat and semi-minimalistic. i definetly enjoy simplicity and tidyness.

super many thanks in advance! <3

I SUCK at everything asian since they dont interest me at all.

But i will do what i can. But since i dont know, i might turn out to be out of the concept.

First of all, pick a nice HD wallpaper of something that reminds you Feudal Japan  (or maybe their style of garden, or their beautiful trees etc)

and give it to specialists to make it a real 1 wall tapestry. Which will go to the wall where the start of your bed is, like the pic below.

I think in general they use colors like orange, yellow red etc so if you like it go for it.

Some oriental lanterns can be great (and maybe you can paint them as you like) http://prntscr.com/lmguj1

A mini zen garden (its so cool to play with the ''broom'' and the sand!) http://prntscr.com/lmgto4

a water fountain (zen) http://prntscr.com/lmgvco

Some swords or something :D

a nice carpet and some pillows to sit on.

if i think of something else and i m not again tragically off the subject, ok i ll edit my post and add it.

thank you, Tinka for the suggestions! i love the idea of a little garden and that cute waterfall! i probably should mention im trying to combine the feudal aesthetic with a modern twist, mostly with the RGB. im trying to find a picture to give you somewhat of an idea, but im having a lot of trouble finding something that somewhat conveys what i want. im kind of prone to making a mess, so i would really prefer to avoid as much clutter as i can. i love the idea of a small bansai tree, maybe some other small ornaments, accompanied by some pleasing, green RGB lighting, simulating the sunlight gently brushing through the bamboo. id prefer to keep a single, primary colour as my wallpaper because thats easy on the eyes for me. the battlestation will really be the centerpiece of my bedroom so the rest can remain simple. soft, primary colors that make you feel at easy upon entering, yada yada. just add some bluetooth speakers and have some lofi music softly playing in the background.. sounds like heaven. perhaps a Samurai-esque poster on the wall

or literally any of these https://displate.com/sr-artworks/japan

again, thank you so much for the input!!

how's the room coming along? my suggestions might be too late~

if you're going for minimalism, I think having either black/white or beige (bamboo)/brown as the primary colors in your space is a great idea, with accents of red! Black/white would be easier to transition into a modern "battlestation" vibe, while brown/beige would be more reminiscent of a real Japanese home (tatami mats, shoji doors) I think that most of all, a clean minimalist space will be like a Japanese home.

if im visualizing a place fit for lofi, i think white and black might be too harsh of a look, what do you think?

In my room I have a very cute "maneki neko" lucky cat coin bank. She is a great touch, maybe you would like one similar!

I don't want to overwhelm you with ideas since you seem to have many already.

Miniature rock gardens and actual bamboo plants my sister has both...idk if you wanted to include actual plants. Idk if your the constructive type but making your own shoji-mimicking door with decorated or even just normal plain paper can change the overall feel of a room or a stylized tori-like door trim on doorway would work too. Traditional style paintings and artwork. Dragon or kitsune statues, ancient or even homemade pottery, and a focal point of the room with the rising sun if your dead set on including it in the overall design. Bamboo comes in both vibrant greens spring/summer and yellow-beige fall/winter so depending on the look you are going for it can be included in different ways. Without mowing the exact color scheme your going for it would be hard to design cause if you use to much red it overpowers everything and can look gaudy but if you put red and green together it can just scream Christmas/Yule. If your going for a basic mostly white look there are lots of options.
