I just have a question

My daddy and I are still in the new phase. I'm just curious..do you other littles and middles wear your collar at home 24 hours or do you take it off at night? I've taken naps with it on and had no problems so wondering if sleeping all night with it on is a good idea or not.

I have a day collar and a play collar so that I'm never without a collar on to remind me of my bond with my Daddy. I wouldn't wear a play collar 24/7 as your skin still needs time to breathe and a play collar needs time to be properly cleaned and dried.

Being collared is primarily symbolic, therefore wearing it 24/7 is not necessary.

However, as Little kaiya said, you may want to consider having a day collar and play collar.

I used to wear a day collar (a chainmail choker) because of my power exchange relationship with my Sir, but I have since discovered I have a nickel allergy so we're looking for a different one for me to wear. I wouldn't wear my formal leather collar all day because it did make me sweaty and caused skin irritation from rubbing in my sleep.

Oh, I also have a nickel allergy! I wasn't in a DDlg relationship at the time, so we weren't focused on getting that kind of collar (I didn't even know there were DDlg collars? Or are they just general collars?) but one thing we got was a titanium collar but it was expensive, and my Sir got the wrong size by accident. Another thing we got was one that was wrapped in some kind of plastic, but then everyone kept thinking it was a bike lock so I didn't like it. I ended up not wearing anything. It was difficult to find nickel free collars.

There probably are ddlg/cgl specific collars out there but Sir and I are in a non-cgl power exchange (Sir/boy specifically). We're looking at silver, titatium, or leather as options for a collar. The easiest option for us would probably be an eternity collar as those are often titanium, however we are not at that point in our dynamic yet as it would symbolize a step up in the degree of power exchange (so from Sir/boy to Master/slave).

I'm not collared, but if I was I would have different collars I think... some that are sleep safe, some more formal for at home or during sex, and then some more comfortable day collars that are more public appropriate. If you want to wear one 24/7 that's entirely up to you, but you do have the option to have multiple collars for different occasions and scenarios.

My little wears one of her collars at all times, she has quite a few. They make her feel good and make her feel secure, I just get the added bonus of her flaunting that she's off the market. I'll list her collars below and the frequency in which she wears them, and other information too:

1. Leather Collar: an actual belt-like collar that is made of leather and about an inch or so thick. This one is her favorite, she wears it all the time except when she's swimming / in the shower, even when sleeping.

2. Discrete Day Collar: Black rope with a silver ring on it and a bead on either side -- she doesn't wear this one much anymore. She would shower and sleep in this one.

3. Day Collar: A thinner, leather collar with snaps instead of a belt. It's half the size of her leather collar and it has rhinestones on it and metal studs for fashion. She wears this one sometimes, mostly when she's working out or needs to be a bit more discrete. This one is her second favorite.

4. Little Space Collar: this one is her favorite for a different reason, its sentimental. She wears this one a lot when we go on vacation more so than when we're around town, this one is for her special deep little space times or when she feels extra relaxed. **

** I have control of this collar. We do not live together yet and she doesn't feel comfortable having it in her possession so I take care of it for when we're apart.

Like I said, she sleeps in the collar every night by her own choice, she has the option to take it off to sleep, and she used to. She says it makes her feel more comfortable and more secure, it helps her sleep better at night. She feels empty without it. Maybe try getting a bedtime collar or an every day collar. :) It is possible to sleep in them.
