The Split Self-Portrait is a very popular art project that allows you to share more about yourself without having to write an introduction (which can be pretty dreadful sometimes); it can be a great opportunity to think about what you enjoy, how you see yourself and to make the difference between what really describes you as a unique and wonderful person in and out, and what is only a label you or others put on you. The process can be very liberating! While working on this art project, I tried to become aware of my thinking patterns. I decided to use only words, as language is very important to me. I chose adjectives that I see as positive. This project is meant to be FUN! While some people may consider "stubborn" and "spoiled" as negative, to me, it is a part of my personality that I really enjoy. I also chose words that describe things that I prefer and/or that make me happy. And I don't care if it's 100% true or not. For example, I may not be the most intelligent person on this planet, but I don't care. This is an on-the-spur-of-the-moment split self portrait. Nothing in carved in a stone. I am posting this here because I would really LOVE to see what you come up with. You can use whatever media you feel more comfortable with. If you don't like words, you can use only doodles, drawings, pictures, magazine cutouts, stickers, anything you want. Try to come up with 10 different aspects that can best help us understand how you see yourself, what is meaningful to you, or things you like in your daily life. It doesn't have to be big things! You don't have to be too serious, just get creative, have fun and please share! Thank you! xxx Bee 5

I'm not as artistic as you, but here's just a collage of images I made years ago to represent different aspects of myself. All the images resonated with me in different ways. Thanks!! ♥ Well, to be honest it's a popular idea among teachers and I am not too sure who came up with it first but there are certainly many different ways to customize it and to have fun with it! I love the gentle colors, it conveys a lot of quiet, happy feelings, and now I know you enough to confirm this is an excellent choice of adjectives to describe yourself.
