Guest Leanne Posted June 23, 2021 Report Posted June 23, 2021 How would you decorate your little room. Or How have you decorated your room if you have one. I love teal and pink together.
princess cotton grass Posted June 23, 2021 Report Posted June 23, 2021 if i were to ever have a little room . . . ♡ it would have a warm and neutral colour pallete,, so lots of brown and cream (ik i'm boring) because i find it v comforting ♡ OR white to keep it light and airy with lil pastel accents,, this would sooo put me in littlespace ♡ fairy lights!! and lots of other pretty little lights to make it cosy ♡ a naptime space with a puppy bed, soft pillows and blankies, all under a princess canopy ♡ organisation for toys to keep everything tidy (❁´◡`❁) 1
Akuchiakuba Posted June 23, 2021 Report Posted June 23, 2021 I'm actually working on this right now! I live with my sibling and their spouse, and while neither of them like or approve of my being a little, my sibling is insistent on allowing me to make my bedroom my "safe space" where I can always go to feel comfortable. I couldn't think of a better way to do that than to try to mold a room that brings out my little side and incorporates all of my interests. ^^ So first of all, I have as an overall theme of the room a vintage nursery. Think 50s era. Those little watercolor animals with the big red cheeks and the rubber faced toys. I collected some of my dad's and my own baby things: a bottle warmer and blanket from him, a blanket and toy from my sibling and me. And I gave them displayed about the room. I have a white canopy bed with a pink, lacy canopy and a pink, strawberry bedding set. I also have numerous of those baby planters, and I have them decorated with pastel skulls and vintage rattles. I have kids toys like those furbaby toys and blind box toys on one shelf, and on another shelf I have calico critters. In fact, I have a whole cabinet I made from a children's desk I'm using to display most of my calico critters, and I only collect the baby sets. ^^ I also have white vintage vanity and a similar looking chest of drawers in on the opposite side of the room to my bed, and at the foot of my bed I have a wooden bench decorated with baby blankets and toys, and under it is an old, handmade toy box. I also have a Little Twin Stars star projector on that bench and fairy lights tied to the headboard of my bed. Recently I printed off a bunch of angelic and nursery style pictures, and I'm going to post up a collage on my wall. Right now my room is a bit of a mess. ^^; The cat recently knocked down all of my planters from the windowsill and a mountain of boxes have been collected in my room just because that's the most convenient place to put them while we wait to break them down and get rid of them. But if I ever get any pictures of it, I'll be happy to show it off! I do have some old pictures of my planters, so I'll share those now. •v•
bbubbless Posted June 24, 2021 Report Posted June 24, 2021 This is such a fun and great question!! I prefer neutral and warm colors as well, as princess cotton grass mentioned above. I love cream and pastel colors and they are so much fun to work with when it comes to designing a room! Although I am a little and it can get messy with the glitter sometimes , I do prefer to have a space that is not too cluttered, otherwise my mind will go crazy. I always strive for ultimate comfort, so I would love to have a reading corner with loads of big pillows on the ground and soft blankets. I would install a shelf in the wall and have it stored with my favorite bedtime stories. I have also seen these tent like things that you can set up in a room and make it comfortable for you to sit in, which also sounds fun! Fairy lights in the entire room is must, of course! I think that I would also make a creative corner with a little desk that can store all of my glitter, stickers and pens to do arts and crafts with. What I would also love to have is a wall of chalk, so that you can color and write on it; that would be super cool! If you really want to go crazy and I have always dreamt about this; an indoor built in trampoline . How awesome would that be? I could go on and on but I would have a sweet corner with all of my favorite snackies!!! Now if you are a little without a CG, like me, this would mean HEAVEN I have a gazillion more ideas but that's it for now! - Bubbles
Diary of Rosie Posted June 24, 2021 Report Posted June 24, 2021 (edited) I’d absolutely adore a secret loft room with a low ceiling and a little window to let in fresh air and lovely chirping. I’d want cozy, neutral colors with lace and frilly textiles. I would have a daybed overflowing with all my plush woodland friends where I’d read, nap and disappear into my tablet. I’d want a desk and an ornate chest with all my supplies for drawing botanical illustrations while listening to audiobooks. Sigh, I wonder if I’ll ever have a little room, but at least I’m allowed to dream. Edited June 24, 2021 by Diary of Rosie 1
Guest Leanne Posted June 24, 2021 Report Posted June 24, 2021 I love it! I like all the different ideas. A littles version of a she shed would be cool too. Basically like a playhouse but with electricity. Gotta have those fairy lights, and be big enough to sleep in. It's nice to dream. 1

Basically like a playhouse but with electricity. Gotta have those fairy lights, and be big enough to sleep in. It's nice to dream. Ahhh! Yes! I would love to have a playhouse, but I feel like it wouldn’t be secret enough to be truly safe and comfortable.
Guest Leanne Posted June 24, 2021 Report Posted June 24, 2021 That's true. It probably wouldn't be very safe. But it's just me day dreaming.
Lambchop Posted June 24, 2021 Report Posted June 24, 2021 right now I have a space that is multi-functional and I've been able to decorate it so nice. All the furniture is gray or white and I have rose gold accents pieces like lamps. I don't have a lot on the walls but I do have fairy lights and just purchased tulle to intertwine with them and help cover the wires. There are some pink and blue accent pieces like throw pillows, my yoga mat, cell phone holder on my make up table and then it's filled with all sorts of bins that organize the functions. A bin with some dumbbells and yoga blocks, kayaking gear, one bin for electronics, a bin for coloring supplies, a bin for some of the toys that I have (plus blocks and ponies). I have a pink meditation pillow and a small white furry rug too. Everything is very tucked away so when I'm in teleworking I can focus without the distractions, but it is easily switched from an office to play room, workout room (mostly to do yoga and meditation) or a space to do my make up and hair. Also, the couch is sort of like a futon and folds flat so it could serve as a spare bedroom if needed. It's not finished yet, but it makes me happy.
Wittle_moon_babygirl Posted June 24, 2021 Report Posted June 24, 2021 It would have a lock on it so no one else will be able to see, it would have a giant crib in it, it would have a art centered, it would have ALL the wiggles things with a mix of Disney in there as well, mostly pocahanas and belle, it would have a giant ball pit and a giant TV, it would have a little place to me to dance in and the closet would be full of diaper, onsies and cute outfits
Guest Space Posted July 13, 2021 Report Posted July 13, 2021 (edited) The walls of my large Little room would be pale sky blue on top, black at the bottom, and there would be mountain-like black, grey and blue shapes in the middle, kinda triangles. Some of the mountains would have a snowy top. I would have a white adult sized crib which has two ”doors” made of bars instead of the lowered thing, that way the bars can be really high(I would feel so small!). The bed would be big enough to sleep like a starfish, maybe 120cm wide? And the mattress would be not too soft, but not too hard either. Under the bed there would be a drawer for all sort of stuff. The crib would be right in front of a huge window so I can nap and see the sky, but at night I can pull a black blackout curtain down so I can sleep properly. I would have dark grey bed cover, there would be a huge thin&cool&soft black blanket with orange foxes, and a white weighted blanket with grey stars(I have that one already!). And, of course, my weighted stuffed dog. Plus several other lovely stuffies. I would have a wooden normal swing in my room, hanging from the ceiling, wide enough for an adult. And a therapy swing too, black with animal pictures! There would be a white wooden table and two chairs, good height for colouring with my caregiver. On the floor there would be a thin, smooth rug that’s white, grey and black(I have it already in my living room!). There would be lots of floor space to build with the wooden train tracks. There would be several white, wooden bookshelves, tall enough to reach the ceiling, filled with kid’s books and adults’ books and my toy boxes and stuffies and toy animals. Some of the shelves have glass doors, so the things inside wouldn’t need dusting. I would have a big, white, wooden chest-like TV table with black iron details as a toy box(I have that already, it’s a great hiding place and it can even be locked like a real treasure chest!). My clothes would be in a walk-in wardrobe, so in the wardrobes there would be space for more Little stuff(but maybe Little clothes could be there, easier access). The room would be so huge and high that a giant, strong trampoline with a super high&super strong safety net fits comfortably in one end, it’s black&blue. Next to it is a basket of soft toys, stuffed jingling balls, etc to take jumping with me. The room has no smell, it’s in a new and healthy house, temperature is nice and cool so I can use my blankets and play and run around without getting too hot, there are no bugs or mold, and outdoor noises are not bad so windows can be open in the summer(and there are insect screens in the small windows!). The windows are like mirrors outside, so nobody can see inside. It’s a safe place to be Little. I would not have a separate big room, being Little is part of me so much that I really prefer a kid’s room to boring adult ones. Like, my home looks almost like a kid’s room already, full of stuffies and little animals and hidden toys… I wish this could become a reality sometimes. But I’m too poor for that. Luckily I have managed to get some of the things I want anyway Edited July 14, 2021 by Space
Guest CutieKissy Posted July 18, 2021 Report Posted July 18, 2021 My dream room would have pastel colors and a special place for all my stuffed! I would have a play kitchen and a big dollhouse to play with! There would be fairy lights lining the walls and a bed that looks like a fairy house or castle. And a large old fashioned toy box. There's so many things that would be wonderful for my local room.
FledglingWren Posted August 2, 2021 Report Posted August 2, 2021 Light, airy, neutral scandi vibes xx With the biggest Miffy the Rabbit I could find
Guest Cara Posted August 9, 2021 Report Posted August 9, 2021 (edited) I think about this all the time. I love daydreaming about my dream little room! It would have white walls with a few cute decals. The general color scheme would be soft: white, grey, pink, and purple. I would have a bed about hip height when I'm standing, with white silk pillows and pale pink ruched bedsheets and my Nuzzie 15lbs grey knitted weighted blanket. The mattress would be on the firmer side but still soft. I would sleep with a Squishmallow. I would have a small nightstand with a lamp/nightlight, wax melt warmer, and where I would put my phone to charge at night. I would have a desk with a smooth, flat surface. On this desk I would keep my sewing machine and a lamp, and my fabrics for sewing would be kept in large plastic storage boxes under my bed. I would have a closet with a rod for hanging clothes, and drawers for folded clothes, and a place to store my accessories, and a laundry hamper. I would have a trash can that has a lid, and it would always have a liner inside. One corner of the room would have a hammock where I keep all of my stuffies other than the one that I sleep with. My window would have curtains. I would have one corner of the room with a large cushion that can function as a kitten bed, a canopy, my pink or purple ear defenders, my weighted stuffed animal, a soft blanket, and a basket with some picture books inside. I would have a white cube shelf, with pale pink and grey cube drawers. I would have a compartment near the top for first-aid and my frequently-needed cleaning supplies, and the rest would be filled with coloring books and coloring materials, penpalling materials, Build-a-Bear clothing and American Girl doll clothing, and crafting materials. I would have a toy chest that stores all of my diapers and diapering materials. I don't think my entire little room is feasible because I probably won't have a separate room for my little side, but I do hope to achieve some aspects of my dream little room! And I hope everyone else in this thread can achieve their dream little room too, or at least some parts of it! Edited December 19, 2021 by Cara
Kittykat83 Posted August 10, 2021 Report Posted August 10, 2021 (edited) So I would love a secret loft, or you go through a wardrobe like Chronicles of Narnia, but instead of Narnia you find my room. I would have it painted a really light pink, almost white but with a pink tone and have a muriel painted on one wall. It would be an enchanted castle with fairies and unicorns fluttering about. A princess would be waving out a window. Oh and there would be dragons too. I would have fairy lights all over and have a canopy bed with fairy light strewn overhead too. I would have a desk with draws that hold my crafty bits and an easle to the side. I'd also have a play mat down and boxes on the side in them would be my lego, blocks and stacker boxes, fairy figures and fairy bits and just things like my chew toys etc. In another section I'd have bean bags and like a fun library section /shelving system for all my books. That would be where daddy could read to me or I'd read too. I'd also have a big wardrobe and it would be full of cute clothes, rompers and fancy dress costumes. That sounds awesome. I'd love to visit a place that had dedicated little rooms to visit that you could play in. Like a ddlg creche to get away from it all. Oh and I'd have to have a slide in there too that ended in a ballpit. That would be fun!!! Edited August 10, 2021 by Kittykat83

MarshmallowPeep Posted August 10, 2021 Report Posted August 10, 2021 Awh man, this has really gotten me thinking! Other than just a table and like... bed (duh) I know I'd need like a BIG beanbag to slouch in and a small table I can doodle or journal on! I'd want a chalk wall so I can doodle all over it and a BUNCH of fairy lights all over the place. The ceiling would have to be colored like the night sky with stars on it, and I'd love everything to just be like... violet and black and white (I'm not a pastel gal) A corner for all my gaming stuff is a must... as well as a small hiding nook. Wether that's like my bed and a canopy or like.. a small cute crawlspace under a shelf or cabinet <.<... Just a spot where I can crawl in and feel like a small thing in her den on a cold day!
Mischa Posted October 7, 2021 Report Posted October 7, 2021 I love everyone’s ideas! I think mine would have lots of pink and purple. Maybe pops of turquoise (Tiffany blue). I saw a shaggy rug that had bits of sparkly threat throughout it that I want soooo badly! I’d have a gold little day bed that is low to the ground. A cute desk for all my coloring. Maybe a little vanity to keep my lip glosses and hair things. Tons of stuffies! Care Bears and my little pony! And definitely a giant stuffie of Marie from aristocats! I think a sparkly small chandelier light and lots of fairy lights everywhere. In the corner I’d have a big fluffy area to read color with a canopy over it!
