Guest Buttercup800 Posted August 4, 2021 Report Posted August 4, 2021 Hello I am a submissive who recently met someone by chance. We are still getting to know each other as friends. Though I think I’m developing a bit of a crush. but when I asked him why he wears a collar he said for many different reasons. I don’t want to immediately assume he is a submissive or a dominant but he has such dominant tendencies when we speak. The chemistry is there and the attraction and pull is inevitable. Even my friends noticed something is there looking in on the outside. Are there doms who wear collars? Or is that strictly a submissive thing?

I follow a switch (but he primarily dom's) on twitter and tiktok who is self collared.
Little kaiya Posted August 4, 2021 Report Posted August 4, 2021 Collars mean many different things to different people. There are certainly Doms and switches that wear collars in additions to submissive who wear them. The best thing to do probably is ask them why they choose to wear one.
Guest Buttercup800 Posted August 4, 2021 Report Posted August 4, 2021 Well I did but he was vague so I’ve been shy to bring it up again
LittlePupRune Posted August 5, 2021 Report Posted August 5, 2021 I'm a switch that (usually) wears a collar, and so if I were to have an s-type myself I'd probably still wear it.
hikaru-nii Posted August 9, 2021 Report Posted August 9, 2021 I find the idea of a sub offering their Dom a collar just as romantic and meaningful as the other way around. especially if Dom considers themselves a Big Bad Wolf. 1
(not) Narancia Posted August 10, 2021 Report Posted August 10, 2021 With the right fit a collar can work on anyone tbh. 1
Guest Posted August 21, 2021 Report Posted August 21, 2021 (edited) Hello, Collars can signify many things in this community, I created a playlist of videos by BDSM educators discussing different collars and what they symbolize. Hope this helps ^-^https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLTerWEJPHs7pMpEwqHqcUgv36NkmbFVMM [NSFW] Edited January 18, 2022 by Alana_Lala
peachprince Posted September 23, 2021 Report Posted September 23, 2021 Like said above it's really just up to the person!! I'm a Dom myself, and when my boyfriend (who's also my little and sub) are ready we plan on doing a collaring ceremony! In which I collar him and he collars me too. The idea of having one for me is a lot more romance based than kink or sexual though. To me, a collar signifies devotion and loyalty to your partner/s basically like a promise ring but with more on it. I want to show my devotion to my boy and I want to have something physical to remind myself, as does he! So yes- Dom's can wear collars!
