I don't really have a recipe for my gingersnap tea. I usually just boil shredded fresh ginger in a cottonΒ  muslin cloth bag in water and add cinnamon and allspice. Sweeten with honey. The longer you boil it the stronger the ginger becomes so watch over it if you only want a light flavor. It's a nice spicy warm you up drink for cold weather and good for your tummy too.

I did find this recipe that also adds black tea, molasses and honey.

I have a similar recipe for ginger tea that I make once in a while. It helps me with sweet cravings, anti-inflammatory for joint pain, and keep my metabolism stimulated.

I bring a big pot of water to boil on the stovetop. Then I toss in a couple of whole cinnamon sticks, sliced up lemon, and about an inch or two of fresh ginger. I let all that steep and cool down until I can transfer into a pitcher. Chill in the fridge or reheat in the microwave.
