Aurora0282 Posted October 18, 2022 Report Posted October 18, 2022 I am looking for some bed time story's. I am a middle little so I am looking for something a little older then princess story's. Daddy doesn't read to me but I listen to a lot of my books and was wondering what I could look for? My books aren't really bed time story's π€ 1
Marie72 Posted October 20, 2022 Report Posted October 20, 2022 You could listen to middle grade fiction (roughly 8-12 yo target audience) maybe a little every night before you go to bed so it's like someone's reading to you (would your Daddy be open to reading to you before you go to sleep? That might help!) Here's a list of middle grade books released last year:Β https://www.readbrightly.com/middle-grade-chapter-books-2021/
Marie72 Posted October 20, 2022 Report Posted October 20, 2022 I also just realized that podcasts could be helpful too and found this list!Β https://www.reviewed.com/parenting/features/podcasts-and-apps-to-help-kids-fall-asleep

But that's about as much as I can get π€·ββοΈ so I listen to a lot of store because I just don't have time to sit and read anymore

Then it would be like an audio book but read by your Daddy π You could check books out from the library for him to read of you want to try new stories without having to buy the book if you're not sure you'll like it!Β

Punographer Posted October 22, 2022 Report Posted October 22, 2022 I LOVE Brothers Grimm. Its a touch of whacky fun and sometimes macabre. If this is what youre looking for, I recommend staying away from the childrens edition of Brothers Grimm. You've probably heard the tales too many times to be able to enjoy the childrens edition.

Sloth Fairy Posted October 24, 2022 Report Posted October 24, 2022 Audible has stuff on there that would be good older littles/middles stories.Β
Andriel_Isilien Posted November 2, 2022 Report Posted November 2, 2022 For middles I think of chapter books for youth. I have really enjoyed the fantasy genre such as How to Train Your Dragon, Redwall, Fablehaven, and Percy Jackson the Olympians. Those are really fun to read out loud because the characters have such personality and life! I'm sure they are on Audibles or Libby.
