What is my role?

So I've been poking around the site for a while now, exploring how the CG/l dynamic works for different people. I've learned a lot about different dynamics and about myself, but I'm still left wondering, where do I fit?

So I'm an age regressor. I rarely ever regress, it's very hard to... Idk let go of my inhibitions, or detach from the stress of daily adulting? I feel like having a CG maybe could help me get there, but that seems unlikely for me. I'm not into Daddies and this page is riddled with the lamentations of those seeking a Mommy, if that would even be a good fit for me, I'm not sure.

I also have strong CG tendencies, but I'm really not in a state to fill that role for anyone. I already am at capacity with parenting a kindergartener. Being a parent is one of the few things that I have ever felt like I am a natural at and probably the only time I've ever felt like I was doing what I was supposed to be doing in life. I'm inclined to think being a CG would be similarly fulfilling. At this point though, I can only see my being a CG leading to a frustrated little that doesn't get enough attention.

So like a thong, here I sit, stuck in the middle. I know this thread is phrased as a question, but I'm not expecting anyone to give me an answer(it's obvious that I'm a switch), any thoughts on the matter are welcome though.

well you have to have any role right  not just sit back in the forum and have fun and learn things , you can wait a little until its the right time and keep exploring and maybe learn stuff about yourself you never knew .you might find someone that has a like shcedule so i guess just give it time and  a keep exploring your self. hope that helps in anyway

You don't have to have the answers right now. It's all a learning journey. I would suggest maybe counseling or finding a way to work on the things that will help you learn to deal with the stress that holds you back. Meditation, journaling, exercise are all things that help keep me on an even keel and make it easier to get into littlespace. I'm also doing CBT as part of working on my negative thoughts.

Yeah, that's basically where I'm at. I'm not really looking to get into anything. I've definitely got some more self exploration to do.

I'm currently trying to arrange counseling, it's taking a while to find an appropriate one for me. I've been to counseling before, so I'm familiar with all the tools you mentioned. It's helpful to be reminded of them, I often forget. I should go print out some CBT worksheets. Thanks.
