I haven't gotten a copy of the book... yet. But I have seen people modeling recipes from it and I copied some down.

This baked white river salmon is SO GOOD!! 😋 and I rarely like fish.

INGREDIENTS

3 TB butter

1 leek diced (in the video they show using 4 green onions)

1-2 medium carrots, diced

1/4 c heavy cream (I substituted with cottage cheese)

1/2 tsp Stormcloak seasoning (details below)

2-3 TB parmesan cheese

1 sheet puff pastry thawed from freezer (if you'd rather make your own then go for it!)

1 lb salmon

 

Stormcloak Blend

2 tsp dried dill

1/2 tsp pepper

1 tsp mustard powder

2 tsp fennel

 

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Preheat oven to 375 F. Saute diced veggies in butter to soften. Pour in heavy cream and the seasoning. Simmer about 1 minute. Remove from heat and mix in cheese.
  2. Roll the pastry in rectangle shape. It should be large enough for wrapping around the salmon you have. Sprinkle seasoning in middle before placing salmon down. Spread cooked veggie mixture over the fish. Fold up, seal the edges, and flip over the pastry. Lastly, cut ventilation holes and bake for 25-30 minutes.

IMPERIAL MUSHROOM SAUCE (serves 4)

🍄Ingredients🍄

1 TB butter

10 oz mushrooms of your choice

2 TB flour (cornstarch or arrowroot for gluten free)

1/2 c broth (chicken or vegetable)

Splash of white wine vinegar

1 tsp Imperial Seasoning (details below)

2 TB heavy cream (coconut milk if dairy free)

 

Imperial Seasoning Blend

3 tsp marjoram

3 tsp savory/sage

1 tsp coriander seed

1/2 tsp pepper

 

🍄Instructions🍄

  1. Melt butter over medium heat and add sliced mushrooms. Give them a quick stir to coat in the butter. Cook for 5 minutes to soften.
  2. Sprinkle in flour, stirring until absorbed, then add broth. Cook while stirring for a minute or two. Once the mixture thickens, add seasonings, cream, and salt to taste.
