Hi everyone!

I want this place to be as fun as possible, so please feel free to make any requests that you might have for this space and I'll do my best to accommodate them! (Within reason, of course!)

I've been loving these and wondered if there can be a section for that in this group? My first thought is recess? A lot of these lists tend to be bedtime related but I imagine themes that are school, going on a trip, colors, or something.

How about show and tell? I used to work for a homeschool co op and once a week the kids would have show and tell and we're required to write  a paragraph on the item. It could be anything they wanted.

Story Time using links to stories on YouTube.

I dozens of ideas from the homeschooling days, I'm always available if you need help.

I second show and tell! That sounds fun.

Show and Tell will definitely be added!

I have some youtube storytimes recorded from when I ran something similar, those links will be coming soon. ;D

I have caregiver friends that read to me and would be willing to record stories.

Good to know! Perhaps we can have "guest readers" every now and again! I'll let you know if that's something we decide to incorporate (we're trying not to add too much too soon and burn out)

Hi. 🥰

I was thinking we can do a board - collage (I don't know how it's called) with our "outfit" for our first day of school. We can put a picture with cute clothes, hairstyle, a backpack, stuffies and everything we want to take with us in our first day.
Here is mine as an example, it was fun and I ended up loving it!  ❤️

Is "Circle Time Song" a common thing that you do in USA? 😮

I'm from Argentina and I've never did it (or listen about it) before, not even kindergarten. Crazy cultural shock!

(I post here because the original topic was closed lol).

Yes, having circle time is pretty common here in the USA, especially for very young children. There is usually a rug/or carpet and all the children sit down together, to sing songs that help with colors, numbers, shapes, days of the week and other foundational things as that.

I hope you like it!

You know how we had the school day outfit mood board? Maybe we can have future themes of like:

  • lunch
  • breakfast
  • recess activity
  • favorite class

And you can change them seasonally like holiday class parties or holiday themes for lunches. Future outfit mood boards for special days.

These are all great ideas - I'll write them into our calendar!!

We could do a virtual field trip? Ms. Penny could choose a destination maybe and then we could maybe each tell a story or share a diary entry about what we did on the field trip
We could also do maybe a school time capsule, where everyone sends a picture or drawing or name something they'll add to the school time capsule
OOOO and we could maybe have a school book club, that would be so fun! And then everyone gets to tawk about the books we read wecentwy! It'd be so cool to hear all the diffwent kinds of books people read...and the different levels! Coz some people read really smart big books, and sum people don't like pictures and sum people(like me) LOOOVE pictures❤️
